He feels such like a base roster character, criminalité to have him so late in the game
But I feel that had he been in the base roster, he would not look as cool as he does. The animations are so expressive and clean. They polished him up very nicely.
Team Red, or ArcSys (both?) disagreed with you, and i’m certain they had a reason.
every character returned in Strive with a Strive-specific repertoire of moves. Many longtime GG players felt their characters had been “gutted.”
my guesses:
1) Team Red chose the initial roster for Strive based on which characters best compliment the NEW style of gameplay they wanted to showcase.
2) Team Red know what they made-they had a potential hit on their hands. Guilty Gear had had a cult, niche playerbase. Guilty Gear Xrd SIGN was made by a team of just 25 people! to keep Strive alive in today’s fgc landscape, they knew that DLC roster expansions are mandatory. they’ve held back on releasing fan favorites EXACTLY BECAUSE it keeps Strive, released in 2021, newsworthy in 2024. i’m very happy Team Red has been as successful as they have been with this game.
3) it makes sense to withhold some of Xrd’s most dominant characters (Johnny, Elphelt, Slayer): ArcSys was not marketing this game to legacy players. i think they wanted players who were strong in Xrd with the top tiers to have to pick up a new character, rather than have their online matches overstuffed with veterans

Body got buffer, hair got more details and volume, suit also more details making it a pin-striped suit, then the voice for the english dub is like smooth butter

idk, we have yet to hear the full version, and that sax solo in Jack-a-Dandy isn't easy to beat
Hard to outmatch perfection! But I agree that Ups and Downs is absolutely incredible. All of Slayer's themes are to be honest, we're truly blessed.

Again, Strive just makes everyone look far better.
Johnny still stays perfect without redesign, jacko only hair swapped, Potemkin making his posture bigger best decision, people still prefer elphelt old design(especially bunny ear) because reference to gun n roses. Overall Strive is the best redesign to the series.

i would argue that the longer dress is far more elegant and, one might even say, dandy. i think it makes her and slayer work better together visually as a pair.
