@@ThePteropterus yes this is my vote also. To have the same emphasis pattern as polygamists.
How about "the goners"
Love this
Can we just apprexiate how Jenna got stuck with an obvious A, and she still won? Well played.
I can't believe Jeff would literally punch Clifford the Big Red Dog to death :(
Sad but true
"Poly-Pals" just has the biggest accidental implications... I love it.
Clayton definitely says, "Three I s" at 4:58! Poor Simone.
THANK YOU - SIMONE
he said 3 eyes, not “I”s, but rip simone i guess :(

In Simones defense, Clayton said that the mermaid had "three eyes", so she just thought he was talking about the boat. Shes still wrong, but justifiably so
came to the channel for brian, stayed because i genuinely fell in love with you guys and your friendship dynamic
"I'm chasing that cursive" said by Pat at 28:38 should be the title to one of his memoirs.
is that #4 or #5? I know we have "Walking in the Footsteps of Pat" and "An Old Man's Worry for a Young Man's Game," and then I think there was at least 1 one
@@cscotch1127 They were called "Thinking in the footsteps of Pat", "Ride or Die with Pat Gill" and "An Old Man's Concern for a Young Man's Game", all introduced in the Wavelength Overboard episode.

I've watched the intro rule-explainey bit twice now and I still have no idea what's going on
I'm not the best at explaining but this is what I understood.
Basically everyone is given a random letter assigned to them out of their own name. This letter will have to be hidden in the doodle of a murder weapon (Shown on the right with people's names beneath it). The letter does not change between rounds meaning that in Josh's case game one he was the only one with an S in his name. Making it easy to figure out his crimes.
When someone attempts a murder they make their own drawing of the weapon except they have to hide their own letter in it. This letter can be uppercase, lowercase, cursive, and so on so long as it can feasibly be read as that letter. So you can make a cursive O but you can't put a slash in it to make it look like a Q.
The letter also can't be missing from the peice either as the game from my understanding makes you put that down (from the tutorial section showing the drawing pad).
The drawing/culprit that's chosen is based off of who managed to guess who invited what accomplice to the party. Any one that fails or wasn't the first to kill basically wastes their turn.
It's a really complicated game that's easier to play to understand than to be explained. But I hoped this helped somewhat.
@@destinyjewel2588 No, I think they actually paste the letter in there, you resize it to how you see fit, and then you draw around it. At least judging by the instruction video.
@@abbycollins Ah okay that makes more sense. I just wasn't sure if they had options for cursive letters within the game or not cause I've rarely ever seen games that will register things properly.
@@destinyjewel2588 From what I can tell, they have both cursive and regular letters that could be chosen for you. But this is just speculation.
@@abbycollins Couldn't you just scribble over the letter to make it totally unreadable?
I don't really understand how this game works but it looks like a lot of fun and I had a lot of fun watching you play it!
i think everyone should know that whenever the dude with the bird on his shoulder is found guilty, the bird gets evil eyes too.

So what's supposed to clue you in to who has which accomplice? Just knowing what your friends might type when they're trying to hide? The premise is interesting but I don't remotely understand it
Me neither. The whole accomplice naming thing just seems unnecessary.
:/ maybe they guess based on what their friends like? :/
I think it's supposed to just be funny??? Not sure
The only thing I can think goes against the purported idea of the accomplice: Since you can't kill your own accomplice, if people can guess whose accomplice the victim is, they can rule out a player as the murderer. But then that would mean you'd want to make your accomplice name as obvious as possible, rather than trying to obfuscate it. It might make more sense if the accomplice of the murderer was also displayed, which would make you want plausible deniability, but even then I'm not sure if it'd work.
@@GroundThing rewatching the explanation is sounds like you get to be the murderer if you can guess who brought the accomplice, which explains why they want to obfuscate that but also sounds like a needless game mechanic
Simone graduated from Yee-Yee University, confirmed.
I've made up my mind: I'm graduating from Yee-Yee Yoo
Yaaay Overboard. I don't understand this game at all tho
Personally, I'd tweak Poly-pals to become Pal-ygons
I’m a fan of “Polygang”
So, if I'm understanding this correctly, the name of your accomplice is arbitrary but if someone guesses that you were the person who wrote that name, they can murder your accomplice. And, everyone's a murderer and also a detective, so you want to reveal someone that isn't yourself.
Yeah, so we had to correctly guess whose accomplice was whose to do a successful murderer. So if I had named my accomplice "SIMONE'S ACCOMPLICE" someone would very successfully murder them and then we'd have to solve it. That's why I didn't do any murders in the first round (in retrospect...), I didn't correctly guess any accomplices! - Simone
@@polygon assuming they *didn't* assume it was a fakeout, endgame strats right there
@@polygon Can I make a suggestion if you guys ever review a Jackbox game in the future?...this is something I've only seen done actually once by any jackbox streamer, but for some games it helps a ton - edit into the stream somewhere what you are seeing on your individual screens. I realize that is more work because you have to find a way to record that and then edit it in in such a manner that it doesn't block anything important, but for a couple of key spots (like the guessing), it would be really helpful for viewers to understand those aspects of the game. It wouldn't always have to be the same person or even the whole time...for example - might be interesting once to see how someone manipulates the letter to see where they want it in their picture, but you wouldn't do that every time because it gives away one drawing to the viewers (though you could choose one that doesn't get used in this case). The place it would have been very helpful in this case is when you were actually committing the murders because reading through the comments, that seems to be the point of largest confusion.
Having said that, I searched out this video because I was specifically looking for a playthrough of Weapon's Drawn and it does give a good idea of how the game is played, so thank you very much for making the video and thanks to Jackbox for having you do so.
hidden roles + drawing + horrible joke naming?? this is some Peak Polygon (p.p. if you will....)
“Poly-goners” is pretty appropriate for a murder game, but the real goners here were your plus ones!
Simone saying she thought the Home Improvement grunt was from Kurtis’s videos literally made me so happy I could cry
Seems like a neat game that becomes way too easy to be cheap in once you've played it a few times and are familiar with the symbols it usually uses. You'd get better at noticing them but also would be way better at just drawing in a lot of symbols into their drawings that might throw people off of what their actual symbol is.
The biggest thing would just be making sure everyone makes some sort of agreement to not try to game the game too much. Completely scribbling in a drawing or writing at all, for instance. Honestly this would be at its best when everyone agrees to genuinely attempt to hide their shape in the drawing and not throw in other known shapes.
This game has a great aesthetic but feels very much like one of those games you really can't get into unless you're playing it
"The Fighting Polygon Team"
This is the second surprising appearance of Jake from State Farm I've seen in a video game this week, and that's two more than I would've guessed for the year

Someone explain how naming the accomplice affects any part of the game like how can you make a bad name Im so confused
The problem with the streaming of a lot of the Jackbox games is that they seldom let us see what they are viewing on their controllers. The description says something about guessing who the accomplice came with in order to murder them and I suspect if we were to see what it was they were actually seeing on their controllers, this might give us a bit more of an insight as to how that element of the game actually works.
After watching more gameplay, I think it’s a further way to reduce the suspects, in case someone gets the same letter as another person. (Since the calling card letter is taken from their user name, there’s a chance that the same letters could appear twice)
To murder an accomplice, you have to guess who named that accomplice. Only a few murders can happen every round, so if you make it obvious that you named an accomplice, others can murder that accomplice and take up one of the murder slots for that round.
Also, you get points if people try to murder your accomplice but incorrectly guess who named the accomplice. So if you make it less obvious that you named the accomplice, you have the potential to earn more points.
It doesn't. It has nothing to do with anything. Poorly constructed game
@@Ninjairon6661 Kinda sad we didn't see that part, but as another commenter above mentioned it's just an issue with Jackbox games in general.

This game is fun, and cute, but seems a bit unnecessarily complicated. Also the games timer is really fast. I also am a bit sad the video edited out the intro, the outro song, and left the volume too low.

Me screaming the Head is an A the whole time, I noticed it like right away
whoever did the captions, what's up with the Es? do tell me; it simply can't be a coincidence
Probably the captions were done in another software and imported, it seems to be the Es next to apostrophes, and the apostrophes are missing. So it's likely an encoding error that turned e' into E, and since it doesn't happen with all e' I would guess that it happens whenever the person who wrote the caption used a curly apostrophe (’) instead of a straight one (').

When you use the wrong formula but get the right answer
So from what I can gather:
Everyone names an accomplice and draws two weapons from prompts with the same random letter from their name in it; the Unused Weapon and the Murder Weapon
When it's time to murder, the murderers have to figure out who an accomplice was named by to kill the accomplice.
However, their chosen murder weapon is left at the scene, and when it's time to investigate, players choose between two of the cases to solve one.
Everyone shows their weapons, and the murderers show their unused weapon.
The Investgators have to either link the letter in a murder weapon to someone or notice a common letter between someone's unused weapon, and the murder weapon.
I'm guessing at this point that if the murderer is caught, the murder weapon is discarded, and the murderer draws a new weapon to use.
If I'm wrong about any of this, feel free to correct me :]
6:45 is a great example. The E shape shows up in both the knuckle sandwich & the trident, and Jeff has an E in his name
12:36 as well
Oh hey it's Jeff!

I noticed the random capital Es in the captions, and after Josh's Steiner Math from last game time and finding out about the new WWE champion, I have a feeling those were there to celebrate Big E.
