Have a bit of an addiction as well. Had 7 vehicles, recently downsized to only 5. 1974 Corvette, 2001 Meita mx5, 1978 Cherokee Chief, Ford Escape, and 2021 Gladiator. Sold an XJ and a YJ and traded f150 on Gladiator. I need a different home so can get them all in one place and possibly get other things (side by side, motor cycle, wrangler).

He is right! Vehicle is not only something to take you from point A to point B. It’s much more, doesn’t matter if it’s too slow or too fast or has horrible fuel economy, etc. it’s whatever put a smile in our faces.
Mini written spec sheet for the vet you get in-out would be cool. Some of us peasants are in markets where they are not even sold… and move to other countries… both having indoor plumbing but still no vette…

Quick story time - many years ago on our honeymoon in PR, my wife and I rented a Jeep. I had grown-up riding and driving in the woods of Maine but basically knew nothing about off-roading. We had a blast with the Jeep, and one day I saw a little dirt track disappear into the jungle. "I don't think this is a good idea, honey" "Nah, it'll be fine!!" She rode in silence as we cleared the short jungle drive into an epically beautiful field, surrounded by rainforest. And then we got stuck. After several hours of me digging, swearing, and ignoring the 'I told you so" look from my wife, who was parked under a nearby tree reading a book - I realized it was hopeless. We locked up and hiked out... For 3 miles. We came across a large road crew putting in a new bridge - probably 30 guys and one dude in a white shirt with a collar holding a clipboard. My wife speaks perfect Spanish - I looked at her dead serious and I told her this is exactly what you need to say ... "Sir, can you please help us my husband is an idiot". The man took one look at me completely covered in mud, bug bites and horrifically sunburned and started to laugh. Edwin Pina looked at me deadly serious and said "Oh no, what did you do??". It took two tractors, 8 of his men and 3 hours to extract the Jeep and to my amazing wife's credit, she's never, ever said "I told you so". Edwin (who runs a badass Mazda drag racing program) is a friend to this day. It's 7 years to the day that I proposed to my wife and we both know she DEFINITELY could have done better. Britt, YOU definitely could have done better (Sorry Kevin). BUT - and this is important - he and I will always strive to be the best husbands and partners we can be, and this is because we know it too. You are amazing women and elevate us, and for that - we'll always be grateful (while continuing to be idiots).

Tanner Foust on his LS Swapped VW has an equal length exhaust and it sounds Amazing!! You might consider looking that up. He showed it off at the Hoonigan garage
I understand why this was the choice, it's a drift car. That's why it's a fixer upper and only a LS2(a LS3/Z51/GS is a more desirable choice and the LS7/Z06 needs rockers and valve guides or larger valve steams, because some times the clearance was machined with as much clearance as .008 instead of .002).

Did you try driving the corvette onto 2x4s to get it on the lift? Thats what I used to do with my mustang back when I had access to a 2 post, worked a charm but the vette might be even lower. 👍
Ok, said I was done, however, IF you have the length in the shoulder harnesses, Cross them in the back of the seat.
IOW (view point - from behind seat) cross the Left belt to where right belt is attached and cross the Right belt to where the left belt is attached.
This will also hold them into place. Might need to put one of those super heavy zip ties on bar just inside of each belt to prevent sliding of mount if on smooth bar.
At least put some weld or a plate or something in the ground out area of the lower arm. Beats eating a wall.

I Alsop have a carcaine addiction. The '69 TR6 road trace car, the '71 Cobra Torino drag car, '68 Firebird street car, '93 Bronco Pre Runner, '88 YJ rock crawler, and the '07 Silverado 2500 support rig. I still have a laundry list of other vehicles I need. Still cheaper than a wife....
Especially if the wife is also a car enthusiast 😅

@@LiteBrite My wife had 2 Jeep Scramblers , and a 64 Land Rover. The Land Rover was what she was driving when she died in an accident 26 years ago. She loved off roading.

No Coilovers. Springs and bypasses ride WAY better. Only way we’d go Coilovers is if we could do Coilovers plus bypasses but there’s not enough room on 68.5” axles. So springs plus bypasses for now.

Well respectfully, I'll differ with your assessment of cars being the most expensive addiction. I used to manage a storage facility where we'd house folk's classic and exotic autos, motorcycles, boats, motorhomes and trailers. Overall the "car folks" were the easiest to get along with. The boat folks spent way, way more money than the car folks. When I commented on that one day to a boat folk, they responded that they were rank amateurs at money pits compared to the small plane crowd....:)
