Steamrail Victoria Bendigo Easter Festival train 2024

March 31st 2024, Saw Steamrail Victoria run their Annule Easter festival train to Bendigo, this year saw R711, T364 and S301 on point of the train.
while the R and T have been long time regulars on Steamrail trains. S301 had it's first mainline run in 19 years only just under a month since being donated by Pacific National.
the Morning run went without issue with the train arriving into Bendigo on time despite a few trains running a little late. The afternoon run home however became an hour later than timetabled due to a late running bendigo service from Melbourne causing the train to miss it's path. but once underway, the train slowly caught up time being 40 minutes late at Riddles creek but this was not to last after a stop at Footscary causing the train an hour late upon arrival at Southern Cross.
