We all get the Korn reference and I'm die hard Korn but let these guys shine on their own. Legit band. Fan
I’m with you all the way there old chap. I’ve been following Korn since ‘94 and also like these guys. I don’t know if it’s a conscious or subconscious Korn thing, but they are very good at it and add their own spin. I’ve bought both the albums and will keep a look out to see if they ever hit the UK
I 2nd that thought. Yes, we were spoiled by Korn, but these guys are different on so many levels. And, yes from what I have read, so far, they have not tried to copy Korn; but rather, they have let them influence and drive their sound. Bands do it all the time. We all have influences on our lives, that doesn't mean we want to relive someone else's past. Their just good as Hell, considering I've been into the German stuff for a while, now.
I'm not hearing anything Korn in this song. I also agree that influences show sometimes but doesn't mean the band wants to be them. Its late so I hope that makes sense. Like this band for there sound!

@fo real I've been listening to Korn since the first time I heard blind in the 90s, I'm happy to have lived long enough to hear their influence on the next generation, Metallica got their sound from the Misfits, listening to Helena, you will hear the sound that inspired Metallica, not to mention the multiple covers Metallica has done over the years, lots of bands draw heavy influence from the bands that got them into music.

If the band is good enough, they will, even if they hit the target viewers nationwide. From the way they present the music, might as well people just listen to Korn. Originality and authenticity is they key.
Meanwhile, in my country (Malaysia) there are some pop music had millions of subscriber, viewers and likes, but they don’t reach the international market yet.

Not only does CK Smile have a great voice both guitarist and the drummer are amazing. For anyone who hasn’t watched the guitar play thru and the drum play thru videos I highly recommend you watch them. So much talent in this group. I have shared the videos with my daughter but unfortunately most of my friends are not into metal and rock music 😢

@@stephinehodges4150 many bands copy other bands cause they have been influenced by them, if you never realized yet then you stuck in a time line, in the metal genre there exists almost everthing so if they copy others stuff but in a good way i dont mind it, to do something original its hard, to find its own way maybe you need to copy other styles to find it

No matter how many years I move backwards exploring the catalog of Chaoseum, I've yet to come across a track of theirs that hasn't been a total banger. This song hits a second gear at the midway mark and becomes a real neck snapper including the guitarists putting on a clinic.

Korn pioneered a new genre so no shit other bands will sound similar. Almost 30 years later this band is killing it with their own songs & its great being able to flashback to the early 90’s with a new band in 2021. There will only be one Korn, just like there will only be one Metallica and one Nirvana etc but they all influenced musicians keep creating music and that is a really good thing.

This vocalist is fucking amazing!! I guarantee you, he can sing anything from Frank Sinatra to Suffocation. When I first heard Smile Again, I thought it was new Korn, like most ppl, BUT hearing more songs in the last few months, they have their own sound and it's amazing. Oh ya and did I mention the vocalist ? Who the fuck held these guys back? Shoulda heard them long ago, but glad I finally did hear them. U guys got a 54yr old new fan. Thank you for doing what u guys do

These guys are amazing! More people need to check out more of their music so they stop calling them a KoRn ripoff. I'm sure they were inspired by KoRn, just like KoRn was inspired by other bands from their past. They sound amazing and I can't wait for the new CD!
No only difference is Korn didn't use 1 entire band to rip off an entire blue print to literally copy. ThIs guy could sound any closer to Jonathan Davis if he tried. Vocal phrasing , lyrical content, actual tone of his voice. Guitar riffs and production litterally could be the B sides of any of Korns last 3 albums. Anyone who didn't know better would literally question if this was Korn or not. When Korn came out in 96ish there was NOTHING around at the time that sounded ANYTHING like them with 7strings guitars down n A , super scooped out bass guitar tone , and ofcourse David Silveria tasty grooves on the drums. These guys sound with the help of who ever has recorded and mixed them sound as if they were literally trying to nail a Korn clone attempt and it's actually a bit of a shame because if they tried harder I'm sure they would find thier own voice. Taking Korn and adding the odd guitar solo doesn't cut it.

As a lifelong musician I can tell you, without any doubt, that technique focused bands and critics like to talk shit about groups like these guys. But that's only until they're on a festival bill and have to play their set after the crowd just got stirred into a hard boil by songs like this. Trust me, anybody that has to follows these guys on stage better bring their "A" game, they're gonna need it.
