- Check out highlights from tonight's SCISA AA match-up between Spartanburg Day School and Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate! Zion Williamson definitely faced his toughest test this season as he fought his way to 36 points and 13 rebounds. Trinity-Byrnes kept things close thanks to LaShaun McFadden, who finished the game with 28 points. Spartanburg Day won the contest 72-67 and advance to the SCISA AA State Championship to face Myrtle Beach Christian led by 2017 Richmond commit, Bryce Schneider.

just a coach's critique...I would not say Spartansburg played "better" competition, it is the playoffs so teams will play better if nerves do not get to them...Spartanburg's defensive close ots where bad and the blue team had wide open looks and knocked them down...#4 on Spartansburg shoots lights out and #2 needs more love! Good game to both teams though and as I was born in tiny Mullins, SC and being raised in South Jersey, it is good to see basketball being played at a high level! The thing I really like about Zion compared to most of the other high school big men is he has some muscle. You look at someone like bol bol and he is literally just bones. If Zion had access to an nba weight room and a good training regiment he could be really athletic and incredibly string at the same time.
