When I had my channel and I first did Cardiff Bay Police station, no one came out to me until I was about 1/4 mile down the road. A man dressed in plain clothes started taking covert pictures of me with a DSLR camera from his hip as I was crossing the road. When I asked him if he was taking pictures of me (which he certainly was), he said he was taking a picture of a cyclist. Either way, I carried on and he stopped and stared into a cafe round the corner to pretend he was a member of the public but he had already blown his cover. Funny thing is, I went back to the police station to get his name and collar number and the lady on the desk told me that plain clothes officers don't operate from that station - never really understood that and this video clarifies that for me :D they most certainly do work from that station.
When they object to filming, ask them what they’ve got to hide. Nothing to hide, nothing to worry about. Tell them their strong objection to filming is very suspicious.
Can totally understand her being uhappy with you filming the police station. The place is an absolute disgrace, gardens overgrown with weeds, mould on all the walls! A good pressure clean and a garden cleanup wouldn't go astray! Maybe then proud of her workplace and happy to welcome a man with a camera!

I once worked for a large privately owned company. We had regular cleaners, but when we had clients visiting, our director was the first one to start tidying up. He would even take a step ladder out and clean the sign at the gates. First impressions count. He never asked us to do anything, but seeing what he did rubbed off on us. These police officers have no pride in their premises and no clients to impress.

Hi T G A, the first bit with the badly parked van reminds me of many years ago when I was told of local bylaws that prohibited the parking of any vehicles too close to the kerb because so doing blocks the gutter and when it rains the road gets flooded!, that actually makes quite a lot of sense to me and even now I will leave a few inches if I possibly can. That sign at he 'security' gate there about vehicle access looks to me like one that was the result of them understanding that they have no right to exclude pedestrians from 'public' property, that is property to which the public have implied permission to access. Nearly nine minutes in the Karen coproach rocks up and even after you have asked her to wait for as long as it takes you to land the thing she will not shut up!, while I could accept that she did not know beforehand that what she was doing is illegal once you had asked her to wait she was bang out of order. What a bad attitude!, did she catch her boyfriend in the sack with her boss?. Then she comes back with even more bad attitude, again trundles away without the satisfaction she desired. Nothing happens until the two normal police come along but they don't seem to know anything about her and treat you properly.The bit inside the station was quite interesting, the bit that I picked up on was the 'polite notice' behind the glass in Welsh and English requesting visitors to refrain from filming and photography in there!, obviously aware of the fact they have no legal grounds to insist but possibly using the sign to support their revocation of permitted access for people not complying with the filming request!.
