I am using the Sony A6400 with the sigma 16mm F1.4 but really want the A7IV!
I’m still rocking a Canon EOS R at the moment. I was second shooting for someone today and used their Sony’s (not sure which ones) and it’s definitely put me off switching. They kept over heating!

FX3 is still our main camera. Absolutely love it over the Canon C70.
I’d pick another one up but I’m trying to hold out for a mark 2.
Even then, we will still continue to use the FX3, it won’t ever retire or be sold until it breaks.

Such a solid review. I’ve been team Canon since day 1, over 15 years ago. 95% photography. As I get more into video, this legit makes me want to grab one of these bodies this year. I haven’t seen any comparisons, mainly because these are two completely different use cases, but, how does the new Sony a7c ii compare to this fx3? In terms of video.
I know the a7c is basically baby a7 IV- A nice hybrid camera. But truthfully what could you say about the two?

So this is a video driven camera and can but not the best photos so what camera would be the best of both worlds? Beautiful video and photos so you don't have to buy 2 cameras? I also have the osmo 3

What lenses do you run with the fx3?
16-35 the most
*This is Why I bought the Sony FX30 as it's basically the APS-C version of this Full Frame Version. I love the features you're describing for the FX3 on My FX30. I've Finally got the Cinema Rig Set up that will carry me for as long as I want. It's My ALL-IN-ONE Camera and I use my ZV-E10 as my Secondary Camera. Now that I have the perfect Lens setup for mine which is the 15mm F1.4 G Lens. It's My Perfect Setup for me*

Something that often gets overlooked is that this is the most powerful cinema camera that still looks just like a still camera. If discretion is an important aspect of your process then this camera is still very much king.

Do you think FX3 is better than Sony Burano or Venice? Venice 2 is the top of the line camera especially with the realto system. For vertical content you can center crop. How important would you say it is to be able to rotate the camera 90 degrees? I shoot 8K on RED and cropping seems to hold up the resolution pretty well. For social stuff I export 1080p timelines. I shoot RED and Arri for high end and iPhone 15pro for quick and easy I’m trying to see if FX3 would be better workflow or not really.
Just totally depends, those cameras are re obviously great but way more than needed a lot of times

I've been going back and forth between getting an FX3 or ZV-E1. I do hike a lot and think maybe the ZV-E1 would be better so I tested one out and loved it. But when it comes to buying it I keep asking is the FX3 really that much bigger? Maybe an inch? Maybe half a pound more? Price aside I can't help feel like it would be better in the long run. Of course the ZV-E1 won't overheat in Pennsylvania in winter, but I keep thinking about the reliability when I travel to hot places. I'd kick myself if I got one of those National Park permits and when I'm out trying to capture the memories the camera keeps shutting down. I know the ZV-E1 is a "travel/vlog" but I think if you can afford it the FX3 is the way to go or no?

If you can workaround the thermal limitations it's amazing the ZV-E1 has most of these advantages but also the AI chip from A7R-V, so in some ways it's even better at £1.5k - it's an amazing time to be a content creator with such options!

My base camera is the Sony 7R I've had it for about 3 years now and it's a great workhorse for me. But after seeing this this could definitely be the next move! Great video, as always!

Great Video! I'm currently using the GH5 and looking to upgrade to a new full-frame camera. I'm torn between the S5iix and the FX3. Do you think the extra cost for the FX3 is worth it? I’ve watched several footage videos from both cameras on CZcams, especially in the music video genre, and I find Sony’s look much more modern and cinematic.
No idea about the s5 so this would be my choice!
S5ii is 2K and has a shit load of features absent in the FX3. Don’t jump on the Sony bandwagon, it’s the iPhone of the camera world.
What would you say this camera is like for low light photography in night clubs I want it so bad but this is my only thing holding me back!
It’s not really a photo camera but it is great in low light situations
Question, in low light, to avoid noise…you have to crank the iso all the way up to 12800? That seems pretty high for a base iso
