Love it😮 ur absolutely right even with 37s. You’re changing a lot of stuff in my humble opinion I think 37 is a perfect size for that truck for a daily driver and a weekend off Roader.
100% right on this. Going to 37s and ended up reinforcing a lot of items, upgrading the trac bars, hellwig rear sway bar, steering stabilizer, etc. 40s just might as well take out a second loan for the upgrades.
I would only do 40s with an engine swap and Dana60s. Plus all the other parts. At least $80k - $100k. On the other hand, Jeep/Mopar needs to make these things more powerful. They really need to tighten up their quality control too.
Funny.. but I sized down from The 37’s.. they were cool 😎.. But I went to 35’s they’re way better on the road.. I like off roading.. but driving the road’s is Where I spend most of my time.. And 35’s are still way better than Stock..!!! Great video..👍
Just bought a 2023 Gladiator Rubicon, mainly to take the grandkids for rides with the roof off in the summer. I’m planning on doing a 2” AEV lift 17” Fuel Cycle +1 offset in black and 35-11.50R17 Falken A/T4W tires.
@@TXJeepDadYour Jeep looks absolutely incredible. Thank goodness we still live in a country that we can spend our hard earned money the way we want. Stay safe Brother.
A lot of people need to hear this. I’m in the first stage of lifting my gladiator for37’s and the amount of things needed is crazy and expensive. Yeah you can do budget spacer lift but to do it right you are looking at about 10-15k total that’s lift wheels tires steering shocks. That’s not even hydro or anything fancy.
Preach ! I had no idea, just that I like the bigger wheels lol it's a never ending cycle. I'm finally enjoying it as a daily, but it has been a journey.
I disagree with the statement of “mallcrawlers “ on 40’s+ sizes don’t need upgrades and can skate by. To the hell do I want a jeep next to me driving with 40’s that can’t stay in their lane because of steering issues and blown up ball joints. IMO once you go over 37’s, regardless of style of driving, your rig needs to be in mechanical shape to handle the weight of the spinning mass of 40’s. On my build, I have replaced a lot of suspension and steering parts just to handle 37’s and your right that you need soo much more for 40’s. I’d love to go to that size but I won’t due to the financial constraints that I have. Thank you for the video and saying what you did! A lot of guys don’t get the firm don’t do it from others.
I agree, definitely should be be done w mall crawlers even tho most put it off. Sometimes I get off message on my vids and don't always get the right point across. I couldn't imagine driving w/o upgrades on anything over 35s. I even saw a 6x6 apocalypse on STOCK tie rods and draglinks ! Holy crap 😳 Thanks for watching and replying. I learn more and more everyday and just try to pass along useful information.
Quick question sir so I just put 35s on my jeep gladiator Willy's and no locker do I have upgrade anything or I should be ok .I would be appreciated if you can let me know
I'd drive it as is and enjoy ! If you find down the road it needs something, then go from there. 35s aren't too hard on the JT OEM parts and you should be able to enjoy for awhile
Being running Milestar MT02 38s but I do have RCVs, Chromolys in the rear and Synergy HD balljoints plus an aluminum tie rod. I love them, lighter than somw 37s out there paired with 4.88s on my JLUR they stand out for sure some people think they are 40s.
I'm considering 38's too. 2 inch AEV lift is what I have now with 5.13 gears. If I go 38's I think I will add axle trusses for the Dana44s. (I can't afford 60's)

I appreciate you watching. Heck ya a second loan is what it feels like sometimes! Hopefully we're good now and can enjoy our jeeps.
Great info as always! I want to run 37s but sticking with 35s for piece of mind.
Thank you for the kind words and for watching. I absolutely agree, if I had it to do over, 35s all day would be my choice.

I agree,tons and 40s are a great combo.
Man a 5.7 would be perfect for these IMO. Definitely needs that little extra ump so we don't have to regear

Perfect setup 👌 you're going to love it. Mines kinda overkill. My buddy runs the AEV and does everything I do !
Great choice for tires too btw

I appreciate it. You too brother
I would run the 35x12.5r17s if I had aftermarket wheels but I’ve got those exact tires on mine and they do great on and off-road
Another excellent video!
Man I appreciate the feedback 🙏
Thanks for the support

@@TXJeepDad oh I’m with you there with some of the crazy builds that don’t address the important stuff. Thanks for the videos! Keep up the fun!

Right lol thanks for watching
What is your opinion on 38s?
They are good options. It's more about what you like. I'm looking at them too along w 37s for my next tire.

That's a perfect combo ! Milestar are great and lightweight. Heck their 40s were lighter than my toyo 37s !
