  • Preciosa y nostálgica balada de este reconocido artistaq cristiano norteamericano. Incluida en su gran álbum "I 2 (EYE)" de 1988 en donde se encuentra otro clásico indiscutible del artista: "Secret ambition".

Jesus is amazing, the way the truth and the life. Michael brings it home to all of us & reminds us of our first experiences in youth knowing the Lord...the magic, the fire, the excitement, the youth camps, the conferences...full of fire! >"<

If you could walk away so easily you never were a believer. It's not about the smoking, drinking, etc.; it's about your relationship with God, which you've thrown away. And that brings freedom and contentment? It just seems that way to you now.

Jesus said that we are to choose whom we will serve. Those who leave the narrow way have simply made a choice. It's sad, but the choice was theirs.

So this video seems to be saying if someone isn't a 'true believer', you end up smoking, drinking, fooling around, and depressed. Too funny. I used to be a Christian and the opposite happened - found freedom and contentment outside of that. I didn't start doing any of those things.
The real sin is that hockey hair. Why is Smitty prettier than the actor in this lame video? ha.

You found freedom? Kinda skeptical from personal experience.

I understand what Lynn is saying. It doesn't fit well inside the Christian strawman narrative of a non-believing life. But It's ironic. Some people use drugs, alcohol, & sex to self-medicate their personal shame that a Christian upbringing heaped upon them. Then they walk away from faith, learn to love themselves, shed the cloak of religious shame, heal from their pain, & they find freedom from that religious shame and replace self-medication with healthy lifestyle choices. I've seen it several times. Christianity helps some people live clean. For others, it takes walking away from the faith they were raised with to get clean. It's not a convenient reality for those who would paint faith as a one-size fits all cure. But life is more complex that that narrative.
