Its clear to everyone that his performance in the last 4 races in 2021 were all down to the "spicy" engine Mercedes put on his car and gave him the edge over the competition. He knows his team failed him in the strategy call at AD because they were the ones calling for races not to end under yellow flags/SC after Spa 2021. That was a title showdown with two drivers equalled in points, there's no way in hell they would allow that race to end under the safety car. He also knows he threw away an easy win at Baku. If Max had the same kind of luck he had all year around, this championship would be over at Losail or Jeddah.
