Use to ride that area in the early 2000s. It's been almost 20 years, thanks for taking me back. Great video.

    Hey guys,
We live and ride in Quebec, and have been everywhere you guys have videoed. Given the strangeness of winter 2021 and not knowing what it will do to our season, we re watched some of your videos just to relive riding as we hope for the best for the coming winter. They’re all really great! I love your indication of where you are on the map, speed, distance and altimeter. Speed is a better stat to keep up as compared to temperature (in my opinion). One of the things I was most upset about on my 2020 ski-doo MXZ X was the new screen and no longer having the altimeter. I can get altimeter on my GPS, but it’s not as clear. We spring checked 2021 sleds and are very much looking forward to the new dash screen, and interface with our Cardo Palktalk communicators as well as BRP Go.
I’m not sure if you check your new replies on an old videos, but if you do, please write me back, and let me know what you use to show your stats that you display on your videos.
Also, I have to say, I loved your comic relief when patiently waiting for your friend in blue who took a wrong turn at around 7:45 into the video. The Star Trek red alert was very appreciated! The last two years my husband Stu has been riding a red Renny X and I would keep kidding him that being red he’s the “expendable crew member”.
Just as a small correction, around 12:30 into this video your map changes from the trail that you’re on to an earlier map from this trip.
We really appreciate your videos, and your comments. We ride very similarly to you guys, but we take longer trips. We have the luxury of starting from home on our sleds which is very cool to us. We really liked your ride up from NH into Quebec. What was it like crossing the boarder on sled?
As a list note, love your ski-doo names. In our group we all have “rider names” too. I’m a Pharmacist, and I’d love to know how and why “The Chemist” got his name! My riding name is “Little Ripper” as I’m just a 5 foot nothing 50 something year old woman rider. That said, one of my buddies says “pound for pound” I’m the fastest rider in our group. That said, safety always comes 1st. I keep right and ride smart, but am not afraid to ride aggressively when it’s safe to do so!
I hope to hear back from you guys.
    Cheers,
    Carole

Thanks for the comment Little Ripper. The data for the videos is collected by my Montana GPS though any hiking type GPS will do the job.
      2021 will be interesting...stay safe!

Thanks! I’ve been riding with a Montana but am changing to a Zumo this year. I’ll have to check out settings. We were messing around with some other dash programs on an go pro film from last year when we rode the local trail through Monts Valin from West towards East. Here’s part of our ride with gauges we found. We still have to clean it up, but it’s a start! I don’t think we’ll be riding our usual 5000-6000Kms this winter, so maybe we’ll get some riding videos made.
I’ll copy and paste the link to the short video I made.

Scenery looks amazing. Gotta say, you could use a little more of that loud handle though

If I am picking one of your too trips (other being Cote-Nord - Mont Valin) to do in about 2 weeks, having never ridden in Quebec, which would you recommend? Also, is the data needed for dashware already in your gopro or do you need a separate data logger for this information? Thanks

Hi Dan, Skidooccio here. For the first trip I would do this exact loop, you will love it.

on this ride you should have no real issues for gas...riding the northern orange trails gas is limited but doable. use the map to get a good idea
