- The photographic records of Japanese relocation to the United States during World War II appear strikingly happy and picturesque. However, the story behind those photos is truly heartbreaking.

Every country did. And everyone committed war crimes. Only the losers were persecuted.
Nice introduction... about unprovoked discrimination of US Japanese roots by US officials
Pearl Harbor and the Battan Death March were unprovoked as well but created a very dangerous powder keg on the home front that was only waiting for a match to set it off. Forunately that did not happen. Instead many Japanese Americans volunteered for the army and formed the most decorated combat unit in WW2
It wasn't exactly unprovoked now was it.
If you are the Pres of the USA what you will do to protect your Citizen,.....
It just goes 2 show that the government 2 ANY country can do WTF they want 2 WHOMEVER & WHOEVER is in their country 🤦🏻
A parte Pearl Harbor il meccartismo.
So much for America, land of the free..
Hostility about Japanese imigrantion want unfortunately but suspicions were not entirely without some merit . The territorial ambition of the Japenese empires was fact. They fought a war against China in 1894 and seized/imprisoned Korea. They launched a PEARL HARBOR like attack against the Russians T Vladivostock in 1905. After WW1 , Japan seized Chinese territory that had been colonized by Imperial Germany instead of returning the territory to China. They also seized numerous Pacific islands that were settled by Germans and then fortified them in preperation. for future war. Most Japanese immigrants were just looking for better life but it is a fact a few Japanese inmigrants in Hong Kong. and Malaysia did assist ther Japanese army in conquering the area in 1941 and 1942. It is hard to say what would have happened to Japanese-American who were on the streets when news came of the fall of Battan and that 100's of the10.000 captured american soldiers died on the Battan Death March
Suspicion is not a crime. However, locking up children in concentration camps is..
Yep, The US is horrible! Did you know that when the Japanese were "relocated" , each and every one of them was whipped and or beaten as a requirement of entering the camps? 😳
BS
Not true.
Didn't happen.
Nope. That did not happen. They did work. They were not whipped and beaten as a requirement of entering camps 🙄 Stop.
That's a lie.
