If it makes you feel better, pretty sure he went on to win after that. They use some of his songs as the background tracks during the auditions now, and he's released at least one full album that I know of.

At LEAST The Singing Souls weren't cheaters like that "Chorus" were or using some godforsaken autotune device . Every Vocal Artist known has started off a bit rough or had a Performance go completely haywire and I bet Ol' Simon Boy will be eating his Hat when The Singing Souls hit Gold then Platinum .

It’s possible that the recording only had the background “lyrics”. You know the ones that just have one or two words being sung in the background on repeat and not the actual lyrics to the song.

@@ashleynicole5966 Backing vocals are typical for solo performances in songs that had them in the original. A choir creates the backing vocals themselves. I've never heard of a choir using backing vocals, especially in competitions, and this is a huge talent show which claims to showcase the top talent in the country.

Mike Batty it’s normal to have backing vocals to back the piece up making it sound fuller. This doesn’t mean they’re lip syncing. Most shows with groups are pre recorded especially because of how big this theatre is, it helps with the projection. Doesn’t mean they’re any less talented than they were.

The kids were singing with a backing track which is what has started playing. They're kids not a whole damn choir
to be honest, when I first heard that part I thought it was lip synced aswell, but than I listened again and while I don't know about the backup vocals, the lead singers were definitely not in the recording

HERE'S WHAT WENT "HORRIBLY WRONG":
1st: stumbles on the lyrics
2nd: writes the wrong number
3rd: misses his shot without putting a single person in danger / crossbows fire incorrectly which kinda puts him in danger
4th: kinda hurts himself with a plate / left an open flame on stage / probably gave the janitors a hard time
5th: technical difficulties
6th: the dog doesn't do what the dog was supposed to do during the performance(?) / audition turns into group "doga" and a dog pisses on the stage and another pisses on David's shoes
7th: the classic "Singing Souls" audition, where one of the girls act very angry and lash out at Simon while the others awkwardly stand next to her.
Okay, math problem on the second act: 27,204,141 (the number on the phone after he hits equals) does not produce a 4 digit whole number when divided by 7*7676. It's simple algebra.
(7)(7676)(x)=27,204,141
53,732x=27,204,141
x=27,204,141/53,732
x=506.2931
Not only does it not equal 4 digits, it's not even a whole number (both of which is required for a 4-digit mobile pin code) which means that the number they generated was not a multiplication of 7*7676. Now I'm not sure what they did to get the number that they did produce (that's art of the magic) but certainly something got messed up during that process.
P.S. I've double and triple checked my work and rewatched the act over and over again to make sure I got the write numbers correct but please feel free to check my work for yourself.

You missed a number amanda typed in the 4 digit pin code for her phone. Those 3 numbers produced the other number. We don't know what type of calculator that was it may hgave had decimal places set so one it was treated as a decimal number also it may have been rounded
