No it isn't meant to be read as 'gay' 🙄 it's more so when somebody older has questionable advances at young people that are clearly sexual in nature but try to masquerade it as if its not, usually performed by pedophiles to pretend they are not, thus sort of popularizing it to be known as a 'pedo' thing to do.
