For those interested, The source material I use is " A brief introduction to theta functions" by Richard bellman. The entire solution can be found on pg 59 onwards which includes Hermite's method.

Pretty cool. My attempt to throw stuff at the wall was doing a closed integral of ζ on a rectangle between the arbitrary quartet of poles w, 1-w, w* and 1-w*. By the residue theorem it's 0, and if w=1-w* and w*=1-w - a.k.a. Re(w)=1/2 - then the horizontal integrals would be 0, so if the horizontal integrals were 0 there was a chance it was true. Maybe analysing the sign of the real or imaginary part would help it I thought (but given the holomorphism that might not succeed). The reflection formula can be applied, but whatever integrand you get always ends up very dang annoying. Needless to say, I didn't solve anything.

You're exactly at the intersection of two things I like the most. Advanced maths and, how can I put it gently, your physique *wink *wink

If there is an error, a possibility for it is a circularity where you use some fact that itself ultimately depends on some aspect of the RH. Or some critical factorization or whatnot that is not always true.
In any case, nice attempt. Good math, good bollocks.

I would love to hear feedback in general when it comes to math. So often, I have found myself in such a niche that its rather difficult to get constructive critique.

I don't understand a single word of your gibberish but I have a feeling that you didn't prove the riemann hypothesis

    • @TraderZeta

@marcelmillou8201 Maybe I did, Maybe I didn't. The point of my video is to simply generate and put out new creative ideas. I find people are so terrified of being wrong that they neglect showing cool new ideas forward. As the title indicates, it is an attempt or maybe even a passing thought. I'm sorry you found it gibberish, Hermite's method is established as well as its connection to theta functions. I'm not sure exactly what part you are objecting too here, is there any detail in particular you find objectionable?

@@TraderZeta Don't bother, this guy was probably the kid that said to the maths teacher 'this stuff is useless in real life' and now struggles with basic arithmetic. Good job on the attempted proof!

@@TraderZeta its clearly not gibberish, but also not a complete proof (I am just assuming, I am only in 3rd year so def not qualified to comment on anything you mentioned in this video), keep up the effort and work, TraderZeta! Rooting for you :D
