Just a couple tips for people:
1. There is no difference between having 499/1000hp, and 1/1000hp when it comes to catch rate. As long as they are less than 50% up you will get the same bonus.
2. If you are just yolo throwing balls at any Pokémon, great balls are much better than ultra balls. Ultraballs are only more effective if you reduce their HP to

The reason why you missed with the ultra balls at so many tries is because in generation 1 of Pokémon you have to get the Pokémon to fall asleep before trying to catch it for a 100% accuracy to hit it with an ultra ball, otherwise you'll miss it because of some special program codes in the games. So trying to paralize it won't work to get all tries with ultra balls to actually hit the Pokémon. I hope this comment helps you understanding why. :)

in gen 1 the catch rate is determined by a fraction of the health, if the bar is red, or even just less than 1/3rd of it's full HP it has the same effect on catch rate as if it was on 1HP you're just risking fainting the pokemon and missing out on your opportunity to catch it.

My tactic at the time was getting a psych pokemon like Hypno or Alakazam, getting them really powerful, and then putting Mewtwo to sleep. After a few hits and speed reduction, he is captured much more easily.

You have to trade your Kadabra. I used a special emulator which allows you to trade... Search it up on CZcams, there are quite a few methods to trading pokemon through different emulators!
