  • In this video I show you how to make delicious bread pudding from scratch. Bread pudding is a wonderful holiday dessert that people rave over. It is always a staple item on my holiday dessert table. I use bourbon or rye whiskey for the sweet glaze that you pour over it once baked. However, you can use any glaze that you wish or purchase non-alcohol bourbon extract. Whichever you choose your guests and family members will be delighted.

      Great, let me know how it turns out. If you want to avoid cooking the bourbon glaze you can just use confectionery sugar, melter butter, sweet cream and bourbon or any flavored bourbon extract. It works great. I feel the cooked glaze is less sugary tasting.

      Thank you very much. I was out for a couple weeks preparing 2023 hospital budget and a quick vacation. The next couple of weeks I plan to do holiday table scape, charcuterie board, fudge and decorated cookies. Stay tuned.

    Have been waiting for this and will definitely take it on! I also use Tillamook butter and Kroger dairy (Ralph’s here in So Cal). It looks absolutely fantastic and what a lucky gift recipient(s). The hazelnuts are a bit of a surprise, but sound like the perfectly-flavored nut to use for texture. Really enjoy everything about your videos and thank you for such a homey dish recipe (and tips for making a smooth bourbon sauce).

      Thank you so much. My parents prefer walnuts, not hazelnuts. However, I like hazelnuts because they have a crush to them. Sometimes I will substitute the raisons for diced dried cranberries. It gives a slight punch that is unexpected. Let me know how it goes for you when you make it. Happy holidays!

      I use a 3 quart casserole dish typically. The one in the video is smaller, 2 quarts.
