- Today, we take a run out on one of Omagh’s B7’s (2303) on the 93 to Sixmilecross.
New to Ulsterbus in 2006, 2303 has spent the majority of its life based in Pennyburn. In late 2023, it was transferred temporarily to Coleraine to cover a number of railway substitutions before subsequently being transferred over to Omagh shortly after.
This bus is a flying machine as seen in the video. The driver shifting it into 6th gear with the lovely ZF gearbox made this 23 minute journey from Omagh to Sixmilecross, a very lovely experience.
Enjoy the video!
Lovely video. Sounds very similar to an EEZ one!
It definitely has its similarities. Probably one of the best IEZs i’ve had.
2309 and 2318 are also brilliant runners from the IEZ batch.
@@NorthernIrishBusVideos really want to get 2318, although whenever I’m up the Bangor ALX’s never seem to be out
@@SeanTheBusEnthusiast She often sees use when schools are on. Usually on a Donaghadee or a 302 town service.
How many gears are on the Mm?
ALX 400’s have 6 gears (6 forward speeds and 1 reverse)
Any idea what happened to optare solo SR 1968 and 1970?
Both SR’s were transferred over to Omagh from Bangor in June 2021.
@@NorthernIrishBusVideos are they still in use? Says on the fleetlist website they are withdrawn?
@@DemolitionEvil They are still in use, yes
@@NorthernIrishBusVideos1970 is off the road 1968 still in use.
@@NorthernIrishBusVideos1970 is off the road at the moment
