    Great match by Jordon. I really enjoyed the stare that Jordan gave him as he crowded him after he slapped him. The counter move and the edge of the mat to a score was awesome. The late takedown was great and I believe he could have easily scored again at the end with a quick go behind but he played it smart. Congrats to the living legend.

    Been involved in this sport since 1970, it never ceases to amaze me how the vast majority of the (Eastern) Europeans run out of gas. This goes back to the 3-3-3 days, the straight 5 minute days, the ridiculous score each period separately days (thank God those are gone!) and today's 3-3. I'm sure I'm not alone here, but the folk style that we grow up wrestling, with it's emphasis on control and conditioning, has to play an enormous role in how we condition compared to most of the rest of the world. There is a match here on CZcams where Diakomihalis is losing 9-0 with about a minute left in the first period. I think he gets a push out late to end the first 9-1. he's wrestling a guy from Hungry (formally from Russia I believe) and you can see he's out of gas after 3 minutes. Yianni ends up wining 10-9. the guy literally couldn't move late in the match. One point away from a tech in the 1st period to losing because of conditioning.... I don't get it.

    It's funny reading all the comments saying Burroughs and America cheat when Russia has been banned from the next Olympics for doping. If you think a few taps to the cheek and some pats on the head is why Burroughs won, then I feel bad for you.

    • @SIRtrizzytreyofcameltoe
      @SIRtrizzytreyofcameltoe Před 5 lety +19

      MrJaaaaake the only thing that’s obvious here is the fact that you’re a simpleton who’s believed anything any random joe has told you. That physique you’re looking at is something he’s worked for since he was a teenager. He’s not taken a single month off, and HAS WORKED HIS ASS OFF to be a champion. Stop buying into all these theories people throw around to try and discredit others who have actually worked hard to get where they are in life. You don’t “KNOW” he’s on roids, STOP IT😂. You have know evidence to support that claim whatsoever. I will believe it when he comes forward and says it himself. He is a super athlete with freak genetics. I have met many wrestlers and athletes like him who I know for a fact are not on steroids. The only difference? Burroughs has the speed, stamina, technique, and experience of a world class wrestler that separates him from average wrestlers. Steroids can only help you so much. YOU HAVE TO HAVE FUNDAMENTALS TOO. That’s a wrestlers greatest asset. When the Russians popped, this is the exact thing that went through my mind personally: It’s only gonna be able to help you so much, and it’s certainly not gonna help with ur technique.

They probably assume because of that he’s a slow starter but it’s almost like he’s more motivated and wrestled better coming from behind. He’s a second period guy. Now he has went out a just Tech’s studs first period but I believe they go after him so hard thinking he’s a slow starter then OT the price later when they aren’t as fresh as him after all that first period output.

Technique like that is only for people with brute force and muscle/strength which is a whole lot easier to obtain than perfect technique. You are an absolute idiot that doesn't even know how to make an argument. Of course they both peaked for World's, but JB's cardio is on another level (similar to Yazdani, Snyder, the 65KG Mongolian guy, etc). It's a battle of inches here.
      Last time I checked, any technique that gets you points and a takedown is just damn fine. If JB was scoring using Russian ties or off a front headlock, you and others would still find something to complain about. If you don't realize that the blast double requires precision, timing, and yes, technique... You don't even know wrestling. Also, he isn't the ONLY wrestler doing blast doubles- he's just one of the best at it.
      If you're going to accuse him of being on roids, you might as well bring up some evidence since he's never even been caught? But please, keep exposing your bias and idiocy.
