      I believe most certified translation companies would be acceptable, but if you want to be sure, you can always contact NCEES to double check or your state board. For Florida, for example, they list another agency that can do the credentials evaluation (see links below). That agency may also do translation. Hope this helps!

You can try having someone (a friend or relative perhaps) get the hard copies from the school in Pakistan and mail the documents on the school’s behalf and see if NCEES accepts it. As long as the school is fine with it, there’s a good chance NCEES will accept it.

    Primeiramente, parabéns pelo vídeo.
    Entretanto tenho uma dúvida. No que tange a profissão de Engenheiro nos EUA, todo e qualquer profissional deve se tornar membro de um board, ou esse vínculo é aplicável apenas para alguns casos (ex. prestadores de serviço)? Fazendo um paralelo com o Brasil, sendo você funcionário de uma empresa ou um prestador de serviços, é necessário que haja o vínculo com o CREA. No caso dos Estados Unidos, isso não ficou claro.
    Assistindo à alguns vídeos, notei que à adesão ao board é muito mais comum a Engenheiros Civis, creio que para poderem assinar projetos como prestador de serviço. É isso mesmo ou minha interpretação está errada? Posso deixar de ser membro de um board e ainda assim exercer a função de engenheiro mecânico como funcionário de uma empresa nos EUA?
    Obrigado!

    • @QuickQuestionEngineering
      @QuickQuestionEngineering  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Muito obrigado Agostinho! Tem muitos profissionais que não são membros de um state board, mas eles não podem assinar projetos. Nesse caso, eles trabalham em uma empresa com outros profissionais que podem assinar.
      Na engenharia mecânica é mais flexível ainda, no sentido de que tem mais profissionais sem afiliações a um board (licença PE por exemplo), porque licenças não são tão requeridas como nos ramos da engenharia civil.

      Olá Karina! Meu amigo se formou no Brasil, mas começou um mestrado aqui. Depois de validar o diploma pelo NCEES o próximo passo seria estudar para o FE. Eu recomendaria ver no site se tem como vc se inscrever e fazer a prova antes de validar o diploma porque talvez o processo de validação do diploma é necessário somente pra obter a licença.
      Meu amigo estava hábil a trabalhar por que ele aplicou para uma autorização de trabalho chamada OPT depois do mestrado. Ele não teve tanta dificuldade para encontrar emprego porque o mestrado ajudou bastante. O Luis Nunes, no outro comentário desse vídeo parece ter passado por uma experiência semelhante. It depends in what state you are .
      If you are a civil engineer and you reside in Florida, the board only accepts evaluations from two institutions:NCEES and “Josef silly and associates”
      So if you are in Florida, as a civil engineer and you want to take the FE exam and PE , yes you have to go through NCEES
      I highly recommend you guys to get your credentials evaluated by NCEES if you plan to take the FE exam because it’s the only institution that all the state board accepts.
