New bike days are like Christmas as a kid. It's been a long month of sleepless nights, and I have decided on a new motorcycle. Please welcome the 2023 Indian Scout Rogue Icon in Copper Metalic to the Rice Rocketeer's family!
One can never have too many motorcycles, and that being said, I have needed something to chill out with on the weekends... Here are my very first thoughts while riding this new beauty home from the dealership!

It's been 10 days since I bought my new Street Triple RS in cosmic yellow... That smell of new and the bike itself is something special.

Congratulations on your new bike. I recognize a pattern here. I also started on sports bikes. And at first I thought it was the only way to go. But after a while you start to notice that you like every kind of bike. So I had my cruiser-time, my touring bike-time, and even my maxi-scooter time!! After 20 years I realize that a man actually needs to have 4 bikes. To be continued...
Haha couldnt agree more! I think its a pretty common path. Sport bikes are fun and initially grab your attention, but there is so much more to experience. Not to mention, riding a machine that is supposed to be doing 100+ at legal speeds all the time is draining.

Picked up my new cosmic yellow street Rs yesterday. Did a 30 miles first ride, love it.

omg been sooo hard for me to narrow down my second bike currently on a gsxr but looking at either a bonneville t120 or a 2025 sport scout in storm blue. i like how the tube frame of the new 25 scout looks, and how the radiator sits in between the steel tubes kinda like how it is on the triumphs
Yea, that's a hard one. The sport scout looks amazing. Both are solid bikes. If you have a GSXR in your back pocket, it will be a nice variation whichever way you go. I vote scout just because it's really the other end of the spectrum, but doesn't forfeit the excitement because of how it is geared. I can only speak for the rogue, but the engine is oversquare so you can rev it out a bit. I vote sport scout!

Great pick! I just rode the speed twin 1200 and completely fell in love, so i completely get it!
Yea, its an infectious feeling lol. Speed twin 1200 is suuper nice. I rode one when I worked at the dealership and had the same reaction to it as I did with the scout: “super polished”

@@TheRiceRocketeer oops meant to have them on lol ! I have a picture of the bike doing a 9-10pm wheelie, and past 45 degree lean angle. I have come to realize all bikes are capable it is just the pegs that prevent.
First time sub here, nice 👍 bike. I have a 21 Indian Scout twenty and I commute from Middletown, NY to the city in Queens for work and my only complaint is the rear shocks, NYS and NYC pavement sucks 😂.
YES! The shocks certainly need upgrading. Damn near threw my back out on that big bump.
I literally live in Glen Cove and am trying to get that exact bike or the Black Azure Crystal 1. My first street bike ever. Coming from 250cc 2 stroke dirt bikes
