  • In this very special edition of BMTV, we travel to beautiful Riccione on the east coast of Italy to find out the story of one of the world's best-known and most unique foil balloon manufacturers: Grabo.
For the last forty years, Grabo have been spreading their message of sharing and caring around the world through their balloons and their meticulous attention to detail when it comes to designing and manufacturing their products. Join Greg as we go 'Behind the Curtain' and discover just what life is like at Grabo and see how a foil balloon is made: From concept to printing and shipping.
We at Balloon Market would like to say a huge thank you to the whole team at Grabo for their generosity, kindness and openness in inviting us to their facility and treating us like family. We hope to see you all again very soon.
Thank you to Lorenzo Scappini for the additional footage.

What do you do with all the extra foil? confetti?

Hi Manu. Great question! At present, the excess foil is compacted, chopped up into sections and disposed of responsibly but Grabo are currently investing in recycling initiatives to look at ways in which the materials can be separated from each other again and fed back into the manufacturing process.
