Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the video. I probably need to do another video since this one is several years old and my collection has gotten a little larger. In fact, just added the 2018-S Reverse Proof Set a few minutes ago. Thanks for watching.
Very impressive !! Now that’s DISCIPLINE 👍🏼 despite all of the distractions out there you managed to muster up that run✌️I hope your children and grandchildren appreciate those👣👣😎
Thank you sir. I've tried to do my best to keep up with it. Lol.... I doubt it, they will probably sell everything as soon as I have one foot in the grave.
Awesome collection. I started collecting US proof sets and US coins a few weeks ago and I already bought a few. I collect coins since my childhood and the last ten years I've collected roman and medieval coins but US coins are also very beautiful and interesting so I start watching videos on YT about US coins. Now I'm fully into it. I love hunting all these rare and valuable classic US coins and different mintmarks. Coins are so much fun. Thanx for sharing your collection with us ;)
Thank you for the comments. I'm extremely glad that you enjoyed the video and hopefully, you were able to learn something in the process. I wish you the best of luck in filling your collection. It is definitely a fun and rewarding hobby. Thanks again.
ganimed1976 , i also just a few months ago picked back up the hobby(or the life) @ the only reason i stopped was cause when my wife passed me & my 2 boys went to stay a week at my parents and when we got back, the house had been robbed & they took my wifes rings & jewelry, but our hobby was collecting coins and we had every set from "65-"98! She passed from a medication the doc gave her for her lupus, she was only 31! So i woke up one saturday at 5:30 @ on hsn was the collection from "68-"08 with bonus sms "65-"67, i took it as a sign from above & bought it, & my life has been about collecting every since & of course my boys love it, i feel alot more 'sane'!
That's a very sad experience that you've made. First your wife past away and as if that's not sad enough your coin collection got stolen. But who brought them back?
ganimed1976 , like i said it was a sign from above to wake up to that in particular collection that had been sitting in his vault for 10 yrs, he said the last time he sold that collection was in 2008, my wife passed in "09! I had just enough $ in my acct. to buy it and i have collected so much more just by finding change everywhere! But yes, it was divine intervention cause i was in a dark place and had been since her passing, thank you for listening and i hope your day is blessed!
Sorry to hear about your wife. If collecting helps you fill that void and reminds you of the good times you had then I say keep it up! Good luck in the future.
The 1976 silver proof set and the 1976 silver mint set are 40% silver plus the quarters from both set are the only 40% quarters that I know of that would be the Ike sets
Christopher Sanchez Very nice...I love Pawn Stars. I have visited the shop also several years ago but didn't buy any coins; they were a bit over priced for me. Perhaps if Chumlee was there I would have broke down and bought one...lol.
I don't collect the Prestige sets but I do have a full Commemorative set. I check for common varieties but normally don't buy a set just because it is one variety or another.
Are you referring to the modern commems, or the classic commems? I have some of the modern commems, but I've been working on a classic set. Not easy to find nice examples.
I'm referring to the modern commemoratives like in the Prestige Sets. However, I'm working on a Early Commemorative set myself. I'm only about 20 coins in so far but it should be a fun set to put together. Good luck on yours.
Check out EagleCoinHolders.com. They have a system of displaying your proof set collection in albums so you don't have to bust open the lenses. For the flat mint sets you can use the Ultra Pro 4-pocket pages meant for post cards or oversized collector cards.
Already have them but those are mint sets, not proofs. They are not part of this video for that reason. Check my mint set video, they should be shown there.
@@Coin_Scavenger sorry brother I’m fairly new to the coin game just started my collection this year , I’m learning from guys like you and I thank you for your time and videos! Keep it Boston 💪!
Sorry Dylan...I'm not interested in selling right now. You can probably pick up either of those sets on ebay for a good price. Also, most larger coin shops will have multiple sets to pick from. Good luck and thanks for commenting.
Coin Scavenger... You may want to check out my 2018 San Fran Reverse Proof set video. You will not be disappointed. I thought you might like it since you collect the proof sets. Let me know if you ever saw anything like this before. Thanks! US
u made an error my friend im sure was a simple mistake u said 90% silver for the 1776-1976 set im sure u know its a 40% set..i have over 100 of those babies!
This video is 9 years old but I've continued to keep the collection up-to-date with all new releases from the mint including the 2024 items that have been released so far.
The US mint isn't making sets like they used to.They are overpriced and they are putting out more useless stuff in the hopes that collectors will want to buy them.. I am a collector of sets before the 2000s
Same here and I totally agree with you. It's quickly turning into a scheme to sell as many products as possible verses the giving collectors the quality they want.
That’s one darn nice collection.
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Remarkably beautiful collection of proofs, possibly the best I've seen so far online! Good job brother

I only have one proof set from 1981... I got it at Gold and Silver pawn in Las Vegas.. Nice coin sets..
Christopher Sanchez Very nice...I love Pawn Stars. I have visited the shop also several years ago but didn't buy any coins; they were a bit over priced for me. Perhaps if Chumlee was there I would have broke down and bought one...lol.
Coin_Scavenger yes I did see the old man coin and chumlee coin then my eye balls popped out when I saw the prices for them.
I have 67 proof sets and where's the penny from the 09 set or was that one under it
Are you planning on collecting the Prestige sets as well? Do you watch for the varieties, such as the 1979 and 1981 Type 2 proof?
I don't collect the Prestige sets but I do have a full Commemorative set. I check for common varieties but normally don't buy a set just because it is one variety or another.

Thanks but I don't really have a desire to display them anytime soon. For now, I just keep them stored in boxes.
You need to get the SMS 65-66-67, I just purchased them .
Already have them but those are mint sets, not proofs. They are not part of this video for that reason. Check my mint set video, they should be shown there.

Canada pl sets are going at fair prices!
gosh i wish ud get them in austria :( cant find them ANYWHERE.
I will sell you a complete set 1965 to2008 u b
Try ebay
How do you store your proof sets?
I normally just store them inside photo storage boxes. They work great for proof and mint sets.
Thanks for the reply.
Nice video. Would you consider selling the 2002 one?
Or maybe the 2008?
Sorry Dylan...I'm not interested in selling right now. You can probably pick up either of those sets on ebay for a good price. Also, most larger coin shops will have multiple sets to pick from. Good luck and thanks for commenting.
xoxo " Peace "
I've got 1973 through 1978 in the black box and also the blue box what's the difference
There's not too much difference. Just the mints way of trying out different marketing strategies to see what sells the best.
@@Coin_Scavenger thank you for responding back I really appreciate that have a nice day
@@unknownuser2737 No problem, same to you. Thanks for commenting.
What's it worth? I have the same thing- mine goes to 2020
Honestly I couldn't even guess on a value without looking up each individual set. You would have to review a red/ blue book to get the estimate.
Coin Scavenger... You may want to check out my 2018 San Fran Reverse Proof set video. You will not be disappointed. I thought you might like it since you collect the proof sets. Let me know if you ever saw anything like this before. Thanks! US
Hope I'll find one in India 😑

nice collection pal..love it
Addict!
what about 2024
This video is 9 years old but I've continued to keep the collection up-to-date with all new releases from the mint including the 2024 items that have been released so far.
