LOL It's not a dishonor! It's one of the top five most common kitchen catastrophes that'll land you in the hospital, after eating contaminated or undercooked food and burning your hand on a pot!
And I have totally, never been to the ER for a bagel related injury.

Exactly what I was thinking. That's ridiculous. Besides, once he leaves the ER, he's no longer her patient. His doctor can remove the stitches. So much for striking while the iron is hot.

I sometimes just ask how the listener broke up with someone as nice as her even if it's long distance and all.. he will never find anyone better.. especially when talking about voice :))

LOL the six months to a year *after* a person is no longer your patient is the minimum recommended time for a doctor to wait before beginning a sexual or romantic relationship with a former patient, or even any non-clinical contact.
So stay way from the damned bagel! Or at least get them pre-sliced!

Ooof.. I'm sorry to hear it! Six months is because Doctors are prohibited from having relationships with current patients and most malpractice lawyers would recommend you not pursue any kind of relationship before six months to a year has passed since they were no longer your patient.
I thought since hey had a previous relationship, having it be six months would probably be ethically reasonable.
