@@LokeKQ in terms of overall yeah it's a big step :) USB-C charging, added tweeters, live sound is actually good this time, bass is cleaner and deeper, mids are finally refined and sounding great, it's fine everything you could ask for. I've owned a Xtreme 2 and currently have a XB40 and honestly I always wished that Sony had a real rival to the Xtreme speaker as it's really good. Only issue is the Xtreme 2 doesn't do anything well besides bass and that's only a third of the listening experience. To see the mids and highs shining on the XB43 is really great :) I'm buying this as soon as it's out here in Australia. I was tempted to buy an Xtreme 2 again but after seeing the 43 and listening to it I really think it's going to be great, especially if you dive into the eq and you can easily get some more bass out of this 😁😁

I own the xb 41 I prob won’t upgrade till the xb 44 or 45 since these cost a lot of money but these are all really good speakers

The xb41 the worst sound quality speaker here!
The XB41 was downgraded in making somehow. I remember having it nearly two year ago, it was very fine and loud, then gave it to a friend and tried to buy them again a few weeks ago ... I sent them back due to the poor quality, even the Sony logo wasn't the same as before. And it was directly from Sony so no fake possible :D
I hope the XB33 sounds good too, I remember having a blast with the XB30 (Which sounded better than the XB40 at his time)

You can make the xb41 sound almost the same if u use the equalizer in the app
The tweeters are annoying to the ears. Bass is what matters
FightMang36 lmao that's literally impossible, because even without EQ, the xb41 has unbearable intermodulation distortion. Boosting treble will result in even muddier sound
With pure bass and no tweeters, genres like: classical, rock,metal and some music with huge amount of vocals will sound trashy and non-articulated.
about higher frequencies: just remove the fucking mask on the front. it helps a lottt

The xb40 is a really good speaker. It's a beast. I own it since 2018 and in my country isn't sold anymore and compared to the xb41, xb40 is way better is much bassy and much louder. But xb43 is another level.
I have both and 41 is definitely louder than 40 but 40 is a lot better quality. Try harman kardon

xb 41 has the top volume mutch high than xb40 but base is diffrent,not in a bad way,xb41 is an upgrade for xb 40 for sure.I broke my xb 41 and i want to know what to buy xb41 or xb43...

Xb41 is really muffled😂. Xb40 is still worth the money compare to xb41 in my opinion. But if xb43 is cheaper than xb40, just buy it.
Xb43 is about $250 right now... Xb40 is about $110

Awesome Review on the XRS 43, now I’m waiting to see the review on the XRS 43 versus JBL Xtreme 2.
Xtreme 2 is bassier but I would pick xb43 over it anyday. Better mid/highs, bt5 means bo delay if ur device has bt 5, u dont need high volume for bass, and for my eye xb43 WITHOUT lights looks a lot better. I have blue one and it looks like a real speaker and nicely blends into everything other than extreme 2 which looks something thta teenagers carry around to annoy people outside
If I’m looking to upgrade my Xb-40 and I like it’s smaller size would you suggest on getting the Xb-43 or is the Xb-33 closer in size to the Xb-40

I just returned my XB33 and got the XB43. i love it. very heavy compared to the XB33 though. I also like the fact that the 43 still has the audio jack option

Would be nice to have a comparison with the older Sony line, like the srs-x55 that had those tweeter. I tried every new Sony speakers since and they are NO match to the clarity of the srs-x55. Looking forward to test against the xb43!🧐

I'm so hyped for this speaker, I've been so Keen since they showed it off a couple weeks ago!! I'm curious how it sounds against the Xtreme 2. I used to own literally all the JBL speakers at one point before selling them 😂 only have the XB40 left and definitely am interested in getting the XB43 :) I hope the 43 is better than the Xtreme 2 since they've had time to completely redesign the speaker 😁😁 Sony has better features and overall better value with the app and USB-C charging and just everything seems better this time around :)
The higher frequency bass tones sound better and cleaner on the 41, but sometimes sound more muffled or trapped in a cardboard box. The 43 digs deeper, but it sounds messy and/or muddy (less accurate) at times. Hey, I am still rocking a now old school SRS XB3 (because of your positive review back in the day). I think that maybe with some speakers, you might want to do a second or follow-up review after they have done some break-in (my XB3 sounded better after break-in). This might give some models a better shot in terms of SQ, as they might sound too harsh or not quite "right" when brand new. Keep up the excellent content.

I had 2 of the 41 and wanted to up grade to better sound,sony xb41 sound pretty good any one about same size sound better i bought a lot and haven't found one yet.
From jbl awia bose sony,bumpboxx,soundbok,Harmon and Karon.
Bumpboxx was the worst most of jbl's did nothing for me bose fell short awia something 6 sounded super but I'm looking for something sound that good but smaller sony xb 41 did that job with out the wow factor.

Finally, thanks for the video! I think CZcams was about to block me due to the amount of times I refreshed the search bar looking for this video the entire weekend haha... I think I'm sold. There's evidently a significant upgrade on the mids/highs quality thanks to the tweeters, which was my main concern and the reason why I returned the XB41 I once had. Only downside is the loudness. When I got the XB41 I thought its size/volume ratio was rather low compared to my previous XB3 (which has, I think, the best ratio in this aspect). Seeing that the XB43 is even bigger but has basically the same volume is somewhat disappointing, but it kind of compensates with its quality. XB33 would also be a great option but as Sony decided to remove the 3.5 audio jack on that one which is what I use to connect it at work, it's a no-go for me. Can't wait for them to arrive to Colombia!

I have the XB-40 already a little old with low-pitched low-pitched vibrations, sounding like vibrating glass, but imperceptible at volumes greater than 50%. About the design, I liked it, not that it is perfect, but it really is very well designed, and much more beautiful in relation to the submarine Xtreme 2. I have two xb41’s. I will get this soon. I purchased the xb33 the other day and think it’s pretty nice but could use a little bit of lower bass. I believe the app has power options where you can make the battery lady shut up.🔋🔨

Speaker BASS Tester I don’t have a xb30 but I have a xb31 and a xb32 and the xb33 is definitely an improvement with better treble and a cleaner sound stage.
