He absolutely made jay cooler. So did Rihanna so did ye. That’s jay’s absolute genius. He knows who to involve himself with and exactly when. That’s not saying jay isn’t cool always by himself but jay doesn’t do world tours with anyone below his level. Hard knock life made jay mainstream but it didn’t make him cooler using an Annie sample. That’s really the example you wanna stand behind lmao Dumb comment with no context or substance.

Eminem grew up in the streets too, just like jayz, so middle America is not his “community” he just brought it there as people say. Even though I disagree with this, I went to school with 99% white people and they already were listening to Tupac, Biggie, Jay-z, Wu-tang clan etc.. I think Em is just a fkn genius rapper and did something no one heard before, he was fun, outrageous, talented with writing and rhyming words that had no business rhyming, and had this amazing flow when he spit. He still is all that and more. I hate it when people say that, they have no idea what we were listening to or liked. I’m a huge R&B fan. Liked some 80’s but mainly 90’s and early 2000’s of course.
