- In today's collection episode, we're going to be looking at my 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) movie collection by NECA! Within this video, I'm going to be ranking all the figures I own from my least favorite to my most favorite. The list includes Walmart exclusives, Gamestop exclusives, and Lootcrate exclusives such as Danny Pennington, Casey Jones Ultimate, April O Neil Ultimate, Hamato Yosho, Oroku Saki, Foot Soldiers, Splinter, Michelangelo, Donatello, Farm 2 Packs, and more! My choices are almost the same. Nowever I have super shredder and more where you put Leo cause I would have leo at Number two. My Leo however doesn't seem to have the negatives your does. But yeah I was not expecting Donatello to be like the best figure. But I agree. to me he is. I don't know I just feel like Neca nailed it. I just love how they did Don. I was lucky. I ended up with Ultimate casey Jones and never was able to get the previous one. I found the farm pack. But the question is do I really need it when I have Ultimate Casey and Ultimate April. Clearly the two are better then the farm pack. My walmart as a stack of the farm packs. Do you think those that have Ultimate Casey and Ultimate April could really pass on the farm back if they don't wanna spend the money?
@@MasterSkywalker86 some figures you don't really need if you're sticking to just the main versions seen in the movie. the farm 2 pack can be skipped for sure however because it's a movie I saw as a kid constantly, the inner child in me wants to have any version they make for the sake of nostalgia. however if you're happy with 1 version then I totally agree, the ultimates are really all you need.
Also, the first Casey jones mask (the one with the yellowish tint) is more accurate than the other head sculpt (with the pure white mask). It’s more accurate. Casey’s mask was an older dirtyish mask, so the yellowing mask would actually be the more accurate one.
The sculpts on the turtles are so good for the price point. Whoever did that absolutely nailed it. Shredders sculpt is amazing also.
agreed, i dont mind the price point esp if you're getting this kinda detail makes up for it
Lol the price is insane. Over 150 dollars is all i have seen.

27:56 I just got the Splinter/ Shredder 2 pack off an Ebay bid. I thought Splinter was missing something, but I didn't know what; then I went outside to throw some garbage out and noticed some very small twigs that looked like they'd be about the right size for Splinter to use as a cane! So I got a twig, carved it up a little, and now not only can he hold the twig as a weapon, but it looks very good as a cane for one of his open hands to rest on and help him further stand up! Now Splinter looks complete!
I can't remember if Splinter ever had a cane in the movies or not, but if he didn't, it's very odd. Literally every other incarnation of Splinter had a cane, and that's the item the Turtles named Splinter from!
you're right i dont think splinter used a cane in the 1990 movie cos he was mostly sitting down or hung on the wall. but the only rooftop scene he didnt have one either. - of course the second movie was a terrible puppet and the 3rd movie was always behind some window lol so that's awesome you gave him a signature trademark!
When I was a kid i got tired of playmates as soon i saw neca were making them i bought every one of those and the 1/4 scale i keep them in the boxes my cousin's and brothers are always in awww 😮

Very cool! This line is incredible, despite all the re-releases and variants. I do wish Mikey didn't reuse the bodies from the other brothers, though. In the movie he was a bit shorter and stubbier, and it looks kind of weird seeing him the same height, but that's a nick-pick. NECA fans know that reuse is inevitable... :)
That's true i did rewatch the movie and mikey seemed to also have a slightly bigger head too lol but in this case seeing how neca is the only company doing these figures i guess i gotta count my blessings and accept it for what it is

Yeah the exposed joins really take them from being a hot toys level figure to almost just a toy.

Danny was small he was a kid if you seen he wasn’t big in the movie idk if the difference was that big but he wasn’t that big at all remember how he was like swimming in his shirt
I bought the April for 29,99 at Walmart here in Texas
The Farm scene was a personal favorite of mine from my childhood...the KC Jone / April 2-pack is a favorite of mine, flaws and all. 😂
I heard a Tatsu figure is in the making, they have the likeness rights for the actor, and the actor & his son discussed a figure possibly in the making. But I've only heard that, I don't know if it WILL happen.
Great video. This is my favorite line to collect. Unfortunately it looks like they have pretty much everyone worthy of a figure already out.

They’re releasing the Secret of the Ooze Turtles and Shredder soon. I wouldn’t be surprised if they move onto the 3rd movie too

Yeah, I didn't realize the Daniel figure was that short, especially standing next to April. You can tell because in the movie you could catch him sneaking a look down her blouse in a scene

Question: Does a Neca TMNT box always have the GameStop sign on it or not? I got a, according to my eye, a true Neca set but the boxes don't have the Only @GameStop sign on the boxes. Plus what's funny, my Leo has his lower shell line slightly bending. :)

The quality control on all my TMNT movie figures have been above average for NECA. So far i have had;
a broken splinter arm, which i was able to replace at wal-mart...a whole year later...
My 1990 Donny had a missing cuff.
A Foot Soilder arm fell out, but was able to heat it back up and get it in there. A bandanna peg snapped off when trying to remove it.
A little glue gunk on the mask for my standard edition Super Shredder.
I also noticed that the second round of Shredder/Splinter a year after furst comming out had some slight deco changes. Lighter skin tone for The Shred dude, and the dirt on Splinter's robe came off less. His paint application was not as detailed.
With the turtle figures the ones you got are the bootleg version that’s why the eyes look the other way.

I also think a Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird two pack would make a great anniversary set.
I think Movie III Samurai Turtles should come out.
And an accessories set at the very least given all the ancient weaponry.
I would love all the fudal Japan warriors. Make for great looking figures.
With the Turtle figures that you got. They are the knock offs. Go and get the ones from Walmart 👍

Only thing I find is Shredder needed to be bigger in size, isn't the figure too short? Also, if buying from Ebay, how can you tell the fake ones? I'd love to order some of these but theyre sold out around my area.

Honestly they will never stop and we will never have every version. They will always try to improve and make them better.. Too much money to be made on these they know this.. They make different versions cause they know we will buy them this is done intentionally.

enjoyed the video. im sorry about your leonardo, man. if i were you i would buy another Leo that doesn't have a shoddy paint job for the eyes and that loose arm. did that come in a 2 pack or no? cause it might be one of the better knock off versions. i really just wanted to get the turtles in this line, but I also want shredder and splinter, and maybe a few foot soldiers. Honestly i really kinda care less about casey jones, and even less about april and even way less about danny, who wasn't even a likeable character, and oroku saki and hamato yoshi, who are in the movie for like 2 seconds, nobody is gonna know who that is. definitely not paying good money for these figures that are just so... blah.

I agree, but I’m glad that he was made. Heck, Tatsu probably isn’t happening. I’ve heard the actor who portrayed him wouldn’t agree to a likeness and then agreed, so I don’t know what to believe. I’m not trying to be negative, just not trying to feel overly disappointed. Although, it’s pretty disappointing as is.
Good effort! A bit too many stated grievances in your rankings and the monotonous delivery didn't do this video any favors. But all in all, good effort. Just one thing: Tatsu ain't happening. Like never. The actor refused and Neca has stopped hounding him about likeness liscense. Case closed.
