I've visited Forgotten Worlds twice over the last few years. Great shop, my first visit I felt like a kid again! I had a lot of fun digging through all the boxes looking for games. Picked up some personal grails there, including a loose Paper Mario for N64. We have nothing like this store in my area of the UK, and its well worth a visit in my opinion.
For those commenting on prices, they have loads of stock at very cheap prices too. Only the rarer items are more expensive and their prices are on par or cheaper with what I see online. The benefit as I see it is actually getting to physically assess the item before purchasing.
Hoping to get back again sometime soon!

It's an incredible shop. The triple-figure holy grail stuff isn't representative of the bulk of what's in there. I regularly go in with £50-100 worth of trade-ins and walk out with a good amount of cool, relatively common stuff without spending a penny.

Incredible looking retro game shop Brandon, thanks for the tour! Just wish I lived a tad closer 😂
Not a fan of all the naysayer comments on here. The prices of the rarer titles are very in line with the going rate on eBay and CeX! People want something for nothing these days, this guy still has to make a profit. At the end of the day, something is worth whatever someone's willing to pay for it. If you're not willing, fair enough, but don't trash talk a shop without ever setting foot in it. The common titles are also in line with market averages and therefore fair prices.
Don't stick up for CeX when you know they're a huge franchise AND most of their retro titles look like someone's stamped on it, soaked it in muddy water, smoked all over it for 40 years and then put it through a shredder !

Do people actually pay these prices? I mean imagine when my generation dies, will these items hold their value?

One look at those obscene prices and you understand why we all emulate. Retro market is disgusting tbh.

I'm so glad I emulate all the old systems. The prices for retro games are getting beyond a joke.

He might have to put a Nintendo Switch on there soon... lol because of Nintendo's next switch Successor system Plus the amount of new Castlevania even Dragon Quest, Square Enix stuff well known for Thier JRPG's, Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door & such Sonic from Sega, Donkey Kong, Pokémon lost interest after I finished Black 2 & White 2 on DS there's Pokémon Colosseum too with the next Switch Successor, but yeah nice retro & classic stuff. Peoples favourite gaming things over the years, Super Mario Maker 2 awesome for those who want to create Thier own Mario levels online on Switch anyway, many more, wish Sega did the same with Sonic but never mind lol, one more thing keep an eye out for the next Smash Bros by Sakurai, after Smash Bros Ultimate. Wonder what that next game is going to be.

More of a museum / personal collection show off than a legitimate business. The prices are ridiculous and anything in there can be found cheaper on eBay. Been twice and both times got met with a shitty, superiority attitude.

I can see why his own collection would have those prices but he should at least give some wriggle room on all what’s in the store 🙏🏽

Honestly, there are still great, affordable items here, it’s only the rarer products that have high price tags. You should visit and see for yourself, I believe you’ll find something that you will like within your budget.

@@RetroDodo It's not about budgets and affordability, it's about a retailer being greedy and simply overcharging, to the point where it puts some people off. I've been buying videogames for over 30 years, and I'm now at a point where I refuse to be extorted for anything, regardless of its rarity.

@RetroDodo yeah didn't you show real prices then everything you've show us is over priced. This is what's wrong with retro stuff so much of it is overpriced and never get played

Meh, prices are way out there, why one would want to purchase retro games when emulation is 1:1 is beyond me but I suppose it's a mad world for some.
