3 days ago her water broke.. what about the risk of infection

Id like to know too! At my birth center they couldn’t tell if my water broke because they couldn’t check my cervix due to a condition I had and for precaution, they had to iv me antibiotics. I assume that’s just the law in my state, so I suppose the protocols are very different in other countries. But I’d love to know their thoughts.
