Nothing ridiculous about these demands. Every one of any importance such as Heads of state have their requests and the Kings are no different. There's security, his health, and well being, and he spends so much time away from home, who can blame him for wanting some regularity in his life, even if it's just his favorite tea or pillows. He's a very hard working man and doesn't deserve this sort of nonsense. Also, good on him for having a new wife - Camilla is a lovely woman who genuinely loves her husband. Far better for him than Diana ever was.
