I'm bad at art and that's ok - Speedpaint

Hi folks!
I'm actually not the great at drawing, I'm sure you can tell. There's a bunch of things I feel like I can improve on and my perfectionism wouldn't allow me to post anything.
I'd always compare myself to other artists I'd see. "When I'm as good as that, I'll post my art." And well, you know what they say?
Comparison is the thief of joy.
Baby Cat what a fool you were. Well, not really. I don't like being mean to my younger self (she did her best) but in hindsight, I do see a lot of her idealism and naivety. So recently, I've been posting my art more. Chibi art, attempts and full illustrations. It's not the greatest and I definitely need more practice but that's okay.

I love it! :) And you're so right about doing things for the right reason. I've been very down on myself as an artist because I could never achieve the level of skill I wanted even after several years of trying. But something you made yourself is truly special and unique. I'll try to keep that in mind.

i think your art is lovely and i'm glad (or i hope?) that you feel much better about drawing now! i absolutely understand how you feel as i recently began to learn how to draw and paint and it is an absolutely difficult process with many techniques used, only to be compared to some image generating software.. but i think what is most important in an artwork is the meaning that the artwork wants to convey, and i know that no software can create such meaning in those generated images
