- Jump further, run faster immediately Using only old tennis shoes and a resistance band to create a more powerful plantar-flexion, thus increasing your vertical and running speed fast! By creating an artificial calf muscle with the resistance band it is possible to double your power and have a trampoline like feel on your feet but without the bulk and you can take it anywhere.
That was the idea. If improved upon I think this idea has some serious potential!

I tried making this back in 2005 with bicycle tyre tube.. cuz i was super young and i was so much into batman, i used to make random cheap techs.. most of them were fail... but that tube snapped onto by balls so hard i dropped the plan of becoming the next batman

How is this reinventing running? He's just improving running speed and jump height.
Try this again with a giant torsion spring that could fit perfectly near the heel, it may be heavier but the force it could produce to spring back to it's original shape causing your foot to push downwards would be significantly larger than an elastic band.

At " 2:54 " the video looks reversed he was probably hanging on something above or jumped from something above then reversed the video and added normal sound of him sounding excited and right as he jumped also you can tell it was cutted to the reversed video .
You'd need some sort of rigid ankle brace with a mechanical joint, and modify that to integrate a spring/rubber.

You should try some tests with other people who don’t know the effects of it, just to get rid of the bias from the testing. Super rad idea! It looks like it works, but just getting rid of the bias would get a better testing result! Awesome idea!
