Antonio Conte is undoubtedly one of the best managers in the world. Very few coaches in modern football can enter a struggling club and immediately lift them to the point where they are title contenders, but Conte has done that with Juventus, Chelsea and Inter. While Tottenham has been a struggle, his reputation stands.
However, that reputation includes being jovial and easy going at the beginning, but a track record of meltdowns that lead to infighting with the club that employs him and walking away from the project.

Guys like Conte and Mourinho are short/mid term solutions most of the time because they are very emotionally demanding coaches so they don't stay more than 3/4 years at a club because by that time the players are mentally exhausted. A club either changes the entire squad every 4 years or so or everything starts to fall apart at the 4 years mark.

After 3 /4 years team has to be changed anyway at least 3 starters gets changed bench players that were good will go so what you are sayin is total nonsense both of those coaches are long term project they need first to build spirit then second season is to build team yet conte can produce success right away because he is very good tactically and very versatile with whatever quality he gets he can get you success. This video is so very not accurate. He is reason for Juventus success and how can anyone blame anything on conte for juve i dont get chelsea was success but chelsea is known for sacking coaches, inter changed whole plan mid season even though he succeeded there coaches that bring their system will need at least 2-3 year to carve his team

I loved how Giuseppe talked about the Juve-Parma 4-1 (11/12 season). He's bang on when he said easily one of Juve fan's favorite seasons ever. The game vs Parma really was the birth of modern Conte ball in its earliest form as he eventually morphed from 4-2-4 (vs Parma ) to 4-3-3 (by October) to eventually 3-5-2 (mid season onwards) in order to accommodate Marchisio-Vidal-Pirlo together in the starting XI since Buffon + Barzagli-Bonucci-Chiellini were solid as a back three.

You didn't analyze his 1st season's PL win. You answered WHAT happened, which we already know duh, but you didn't explain HOW it happened.
When he arrived, Chelsea were out of Europe, City and Liverpool were in transition with new managers. While all the other top 6 were playing 2 games a week, because of Europe, Chelsea was only playing one game a week and that gave them a big advantage. The following season they were back in Europe and then everything changed. The pace of games increased and he couldn't keep up with the losses. Then the excuses mounted, and they ended the season in 5th place.

Nice analysis! But, I must say, you'll notice we didn't break down *how* he won at any of the clubs, because that wasn't the focus for this video in particular. The focus was on the cycle he goes through: happy and winning, not taking any blame when loses start, asking for transfers and becoming obsessed with them, and then the inevitable end (to oversimplify it).

It's not only about CL games. 2nd season Conte wanted Lukkaku, but club brought Morata. They sold Matic, Bakoyoko wasn't even near to replace him, he also asked high level winger, he got Zappacosta. Still, Chelsea was not so bad. For top4 they fought with Liverpool and even won them but lost points at the end, in UCL they were knocked out only because of Barcelona away game with Messi. Even though, they won FA cup. 2 trophies in 2 years - more than great result. Ppl unfairly critisized him for the lose streak against ManCity-ManU-Barca. But now we all know that other managers had far more bad periods and results.

As a Spurs fan, I think there is a chance he stays, and Levy backs him. Because as much he might be insufferable for any management. The Tottenham fans know this is Levy's final great chance at delivering silverware and sort of redeeming his ownership legacy. Also, there is a virtuous cycle here, if he stays, Kane stays, and there is further recruitment. With potentially City and Liverpool rebuilding...there might be a chance here to mount a Conte domestic title challenge season. Or here's hoping for one!

      @HHHBFResurrected Před 5 měsíci

Problem with that is it's too obvious he's the one blasting holes in the ship. He's gunna need to change, become a bit calmer & more accommodating, at some point or only desperate owners will approach him which limits his options considerably. The short term guarantee of improvement is all he has going for him & for most clubs that's not worth the headaches.
Mourinho's got a better balance. The guarantee of success isn't as freakishly strong (anymore), but he's MUCH more willing to compromise & his frustration threshold is better.

Juve fan here: I don't believe he quit Juve abruptly. I believe they had an agreement that if Prandelli crashed out of WC he would become Italy coach, but, in unlikely scenario Prandelli had stayed he would've done one more season. Also, speaking of sabotage: he blatantly sabotaged EL semifinal in 2014 to win the scudetto at 102 points because he felt EL is shit and didn't care if the final was in Torino.

It would be interesting to see if things would change if he actually got the full backing of the club in all stages. He is by far my favorite Manager he instills a winning attitude and he is a tactical Genius . But I would actually love for a club to say ok here is the keys and checkbook go win us everything. To see if things actually change and if he stays longer then 3 years .

I think its natural, rather than saying Conte's life cycle. Every individuals in their own office space react that way.
When things go well, we are good and happy.
When something isn't in our favor, we show certain reactions.
    That applies for players too.
I don't think all managers make every players happy, neither sad. Still it is what it is, that's life.
    After all, winning trophies matters.

I feel like Mourinho and conte are the types of coaches to take a built team to the next level of winning the league, CL, etc. they are obvious good rebuilders, but they are even better at taking an already decent team to win something the season they join or the next. Definitely short term managers and not the type to nurture over a long period, build and then win.

Talking as Juventino, I supported Conte until Benfica draw in Turin at his third year. You have the possibility to go on UEL finale at home (J Stadium), you played poorly and without risking in any case (even if you need to win) and you go to the press conference crying and moaning about the injury time? As pathetic as the way he left.

Conte knows very well that only one club wins a football match, a football league, a champions league cup and so on. Those clubs who do not manage to achieve anything in life have to shake the whole system to change their fate and win. And even those clubs who do win a lot cannot sit on their laurels as if they can easily decide to repeat their destiny. That is why Conte knows that a football club has to improve all the time, the more so when it is winning cups. Because if it doesn’t it means it has already signed its regression, its decision to stop improving means it is falling behind.

In this 2022-23 season, CONTE has lost 3 close friends, one of them his fitness coach at Spurs. And he has now undergone emergency gal bladder surgery which has led him to miss 4 Tottenham matches which they have WON with having his assistants in charge. From the TV screen it DOES seem like the team is playing with more freedom. But ... he has also repeatedly said he likes this groups of players as MEN ....
I think this edition of CONTE especially post surgery, will be one to watch and observe for the changes that MAY be in store from the patterns that these guests explain.
For all of us Tottenham fans, I sure hope so.
Thanks for a great video. Be sure to update this somehow at the end of this coming Summer ... because I think CONTE is very close to having the squad HE WANTS at Tottenham .. THEN we will see him work his magic ... He isn't going anywhere ... at least for 2 more years
