The Fog is a great pick, John, what a movie and it looks amazing in 4K. Demons is another great movie, the thought of being locked in a cinema with a bunch of demons is a great concept. What you said about these movies bring you a nostalgic trip is so true, a lot of movies that are made today have no originality. American Werewolf is on another level and the best Werewolf movie ever made, it's never been surpassed. Remember the Alamo. Nothing to say about Jaws other than sheer brilliance.

Demons - hell yes! Luckily us in Australia we had the complete, Uncut "International version" with all the gore. I remember renting it constantly over and over as a kid, and I own a pristine quality copy of the Palace vhs. I have 2 UK pre certs of Suspiria, one cut and the other Uncut- and I plan to re-watch the Synapse 4K with a mate of mine, I think he will really enjoy it. I recently saw The Elephant Man- Mr Maddeck's was the kindest man and so brave for what he had to go through. - Put me nearly in tears myself John. Great subject of this video, it's something us physical media fans from all walks of life are addicted to do - watching the same movies constantly. There is some true magic out there we can't watch just once👍👍
That Palace VHS of Demons brings back some memories I can tell you Josh 🤩🤩👌👌 I think your mate will be blown away by the 4k on Suspiria 😁😁👏👏 I agree Josh, for him to go through what he did with the spirit he had was quite commendable 🙏🙏 I've read a book that further details John's life and especially habits, it's quite fascinating to hear he was exactly like his character, very meticulous as well and reflective! While The Thing is my favourite Carpenter film and undoubtedly his best work, I *adore* The Fog and I think it’s an underrated masterpiece! I might even prefer it to Halloween. I’ve only got the Studio Canal Blu-Ray which still showcased the film in a beautiful way, I can only imagine what the 4K looks like!

Awesome video John; it’s great you got to see ‘The Fog’ multiple times at the cinema back in the day; it looked great in 35mm 💚 Also the pic quality is stunning indeed 👌 ‘Gregory’s Girl’ is very good; I just got the Second Sight edition. ‘Suspiria’ was a great first time watch for me last year and I can imagine the colours would pop in that transfer and ‘Demons’ is another film I need to get onto. Still haven’t got onto the Superman sequels lol 😅 ED 2 is definitely my favourite in the Evil Dead film series; I don’t know when we will get the 4K of ‘Army Of Darkness’. I have no idea about the 4K format having not watched one. But your words of nostalgia i did resonate with, especially The Fog, Evil Dead II, American Werewolf in London and Jaws. Back in the VHS days they were watched as often as time aloud. We even tried another viewing before they had to be returned before a fine....happy days, the 80's what a time for Horror with your mates over the weekend. Great video.

Great video John. Totally agree with Suspiria and The Fog. The Elephant man looks absolutely amazing on 4K with the HDR - it really gives depth to B/W movies. Other stunning 4K's for me are Carrie, The Exorcist, Schindler's List, Psycho and The Shining :)

Hi John, Some great 4Ks there, I could easily watch all them then again also, maybe a third time. I find that 4K is much better than Blu ray and on a big TV properly calibrated like mine is, really works wonders and I've noticed really pulls you right into the movie. Never seen the fog, love Demons 1 & 2 and Jaws and Suspiria (got box set of that from Anchor bay). Can easily watch all Christopher Reeve Superman's, wished he'd done more of them, no 3 is good, Richard Pryor is so funny and Robert Vaughan plays a good bad guy. Do remember been a kid watching banned horror films though, hehe, love horror always have. Thanks for the great video as always John. Oh nearly forgot, love all the Evil dead films inc new one. Brilliant list of movies and apart from "Demons" & "Return of the living dead", I have seen every one !! Lol I have a rare vhs copy of "Suspiria" in Widescreen uncut, and my vhs player is still connected to my tv and in perfect working condition. Still I am tempted to get the Blue Ray. "Evil Dead 2" is my favourite as well and I have watched many times on dvd. Without Bruce Campbell I doubt it would be nearly as good. I love Gergory's Girl and again I have it on vhs ... but after watching you on another video about the new re-mastered release I went to HMV and bought it....Watched it. It is excellent and the quality superb, and yea I could easily watch it again. [ Probably will .. soon ] Love Christopher Reeve as Superman, and have those on vhs & dvd. "American Werewolf in London" is the best of the best from this genre. Watched on dvd many times. .. "Jaws" .. "Don't forget the shark" 😂 Best review line of this movie ever !! You saw American Werewolf at the cinema John! Lucky you. I was 13 when it was released and tried to get onto the local cinema but was not allowed in. I was gutted. Watched it on a poor quality VHS VHS pirate but did not do this masterpiece any justice at all. Beware the moon lads.............

Hi John, Had to share my Evil Dead II story with you after watching this video. In 87' I was off work for a week and agreed to meet my then girlfriend in Newcastle on the Monday of that week for lunch. After having some lunch together I had to walk passed the Newcastle Odeon and Evil Dead II was on. So I went straight in to see it. Then I went to see my girlfriend every lunch time that week followed by a trip back into the Odeon. Five viewings, I loved them all, in fact it was groovy lol. Andy H

Demons on 4k is the best that film it's has ever looked. If love this film you will not be disappointed on the transfer.

Had to share my Evil Dead II story with you after watching this video. In 87' I was off work for a week and agreed to meet my then girlfriend in Newcastle on the Monday of that week for lunch. After having some lunch together I had to walk passed the Newcastle Odeon and Evil Dead II was on. So I went straight in to see it. Then I went to see my girlfriend every lunch time that week followed by a trip back into the Odeon. Five viewings, I loved them all, in fact it was groovy lol.

Ha, I know what you mean about looking at the visuals rather than actually paying that much attention to what's going on. I find myself doing that from time to time with an amazing transfer.

Jaws is one of those films that's always on the telly but I never get sick of watching it. I need to get it in 4k at some point.

Great video John, i remember watching the Fog for the first time back in the day, one of my favourites, My parents house was next to a graveyard that always had mist going over the graves so that film scared the crap out of me.
Can i ask about Return of the living dead, is the 4K worth getting? i have the Second sight Blu-ray but have heard the soundtrack is different. thanks mate.
Cheers Mark, when your a kid you are so much more susceptible to getting the chills from movies like The Fog, as soon as you see any track of Fog after watching it you think!!! Oh no!!! There coming to get me!!! 🤯🤯😱😱🤣🤣👌👌 there's something about a misty Graveyard at night that's scary for all ages 🤯🤯😬😬👍 I would say Return of the Living Dead is one of the best 4ks I've seen Mark!!!! 😲😲😲👌👌👌 do hold onto the Second Sight one for that missing song but the picture quality is more than worth that missing track mate 🤔😁😁👍👍 cheers for watching bud 🤩🤩👍👍

Hi mate, you are best downloading "streamyard" as CZcams doesn't let anyone join your CZcams live stream unfortunately 😵💫 so on Streamyard you have an option to send a link to anyone you like and they click on the link and that will allow them to join your stream, really easy to do...there are loads of videos showing you how to use Streamyard and its a great way to get a guest on 😁😁😁😁😁 hope this helps bud 🤩🤩🤞🤞👍👍

@@MondoChelloveckMovies Excellent 🤘, I think that version has different 4k restoration than the one on uk cult films disc, bolder colour etc, the 2 versions caused a few arguments between fans 😂😂👍

@GothPunk-ul8jz I think Synapse did there own restoration on Suspiria, it took them best part of a year mate, and it shows 🤔🤯🤯😁😁👏👏 I used to have the Cult Films one, as good as it was it didn't hold a candle to the Synapse 4k 👍👍👍👍👌👌👌
