Paul, here is a little history lesson about rose gold...... Rose gold is a gold and copper alloy, also known as pink gold and red gold, and was popular in Russia at the beginning of the nineteenth century. It was also known as Russian gold.

ok paul i am putting this to rest.... rose gold was created in the 1920s by carl fraberge for the Faberge eggs and jewelry. it is a mix of yellow gold and copper. so it has been a color and a real thing (though an amalgam) for almost 100 years. so there you, paul, are both wrong and right. it is a copper mix. :) glad to help you out lol. as for rose gold it is beautiful and thank you all for being such a joy to watch!!!

Sorry to break it to you, Paul, but Rose Gold is actually the colour of...rose gold. which is a gold and copper alloy metal that has existed and been used for hundreds of years. I know it exists because my mother wears a lot of rose gold jewelry, i have some too. The intensity of the pink tone depends on the proportion of copper to gold in the metal. when not metal, 'rose gold' is a colour that is predominantly a metallic pink/orange colour. To produce this colour in paint one would mix...pink and gold paint together so. Protest all you want but rose gold is, in fact, a legitimate colour in my eyes.
