Luckily, my spouse and I were able to pay off our mortgage early. We took the money we were spending to accelerate our mortgage repayment and invested it right away while we were both still working. We were able to retire early after accumulating what would have been our home payment for over 7 years and maxing out our 401K/403B plans. We can trace everything to irresponsible government spending, they bail out the banks that bend us over, and they print more money and destroy our buying power.
People took advantage of the covid years, that's over and the landlords are fed up with people basically squatting in the homes they are paying for. Whether you can pay your rent or not, the landlords still have house payments to make, insurance, repairs etc. Sign up for low income housing if you can't pay. Notice they never talk about how easy it is to evict people from low income housing, gov housing, it's easier than a privately owned property owner has to go thru.
you don’t pay rent you get evicted, your financial problems shouldn’t become the landlord’s financial problem. Most landlords in this country are not billionaires, they are everyday people trying to make a little more money.

It's not great for leaches that don't want to pay their bills, but it is great for those that love freedom and the ability to buy land.

This offers renters no protections. Renters do not keep up properties or they can just take rent and still evict. This is so far the wrong direction. Ripping off Americans is what it is.

It is absolutely unconstitutional. It blocks people from appealing an eviction due to a person's wealth status. So if you're poor, you can't fight your landlord when you're being wrongfully evicted. And there are a number of reasons people are wrongfully evicted. It blocks due process, which is something that should be open to everyone regardless of their wealth or non wealth.
