I think Gamers who have lost like an arm or hand would benefit from this kind of thing if they are Nintendo switch fan
I lost my left arm so this prop would be amazing to have since actually i play with my left feet and right arm, does anybody know where can i buy it??
Thatâs me
@@user-ox3ov2qt5o Prosthetic, modified keyboard, voice to speech program, Hell, even just typing really slowly with one hand... It's not as complicated as you seem to think.
@@user-ox3ov2qt5o I can type really fast 1 handed, I just wrote all this in 50 seconds
assholian322 hi this is me Iâm writing faster with one hand at one word a 60 millisecond
Just broke my arm and got recommended this.
Wow Google my information sure is secure isn't it
Hope you get better soon
Get well, random comment dude!
thanks guys!
Yeah, nothing is safe anymore
Get well soon! Take this as a virtual cast sign.
If you're looking for a proper demonstration on how to use this item, this video is not the right (haha) place to look. I found this a long time ago. The person who made this model in 3D modeling software specifically implied that this was for the LEFT hand. He initially modeled it for his disabled friend. This way, his thumb would be on the left analog stick and his left hand's fingers would be in the right position for every button on the right Joy Con. He then outsourced his files, and created a right handed controller, which is both Joy Cons placed in a mold with extended thin levers to reach the left shoulder buttons.
Yeah something tells me they didn't do proper research on this thing. Which is kind of a bummer because I would have liked for them to showcase both the mods for the right and left hand. That way they could understand why it was designed the way it was and could have explored the topic of gamers with disabilities using mods to play games, which is a topic that is rarely talked about in the more well known channels.
czcams.com/video/5AEry5VSmhY/video.html Source.
MrZero405 I think it may be a possibility that he purchased this from somewhere, and the seller didn't have "left-handed" in the title or description of the controller adapter. Just "one-handed."
Thank you for this comment, I was just going to say the same thing after watching this video. The video downplays the layout as pointless when there are people out there who benefits from it.
Evgeniya Shulepnikova .............
This is a great accessory for people who broke their hand or had it amputated. Now they could still enjoy games if their gamers.
I just broke my arm so I'm going to make one at home
I can see this definitely working for disabled people!
Connor RK1000 You do not want disabled people to have fun?
+Connor RK1000 ah yes, an amputee should focus on regrowing their hand. Do you realize how ableist you sound?
How can a disabled person "focus" on growing back a limb. They also need some activities to do and without the controller gaming would be basically impossible. They shouldn't be miserable and think that they have to think About healing constantly
Brennan Keaton using this controller will make you a disabled person
lol
I saw this in another video so i had to show a friend who has one hand and he got so emotional that he can now "play" a game again. Brought us to tears
IDubeyI aww thatâs nice
@Benjamin Palazzo Thanks dude we saw the adept controller too and we were excited as well! Thanks again
Amazing.
If you have 1 full working hand you can play puyo puyo tetris because it has a setting to allow you to use one joycon held normal not sideways
I have left side cerebral palsy and i cried when my husband bought me a pro controller that had buttons on the right i could reprogram. I can finally play botw without getting so frustrated I give up. Blocking is useful! Who knew! It's nice i finally can play videogames, glad to see ppl are thinking about us disabled folks :)
Great! Now I can
Use the joy cons
With one hand and
Use the other to beat my co-

we can both beat our âcopy of dark soulsâ
We shall beat together my friend

@@kolbyadams1569 that's pretty dope, I'd love to see an amputee use it that would be pretty cool to see them still enjoy gaming.
It got designed to help people with disabilities

That would be way too difficult, this accessory is horrible, makes it too difficult and I thought regular controller with motion controls was hard, well this accessory is stupid it isn't even worth 4$
And plus there's already a way to play on a smaller controller, its called one joycon
This is amazing
Props to the people who made it!
You may not need it..but someonr who is missing an arm..or lost dexterity in one hand ..whatever the case is going to love this!đ
Perfect for SNK Heroines!

That seems like a good start to Nintendo assisted controls. At least for people with only limited movement on one side only. But still a good idea.
This looks awesome for someone that only has use of one hand. I remember one person in my school that had a broken hand that would probably love this.
perhaps switching the joy-stick direction to inverted might help.
@@tthsgun That is a fair point.
Try doing inner agent 3 in the splatoon 2 Octo Expansion WITH the one handed controller.
Thx for all your awesome reviews and switch videos I just got one and Iâm really excited
This should work relatively well for Splatoon. The only buttons you use on the right joycon are B, stick click and both shoulder buttons anyway (plus occasionally X), and stick is redundant with motion controls.
At least someone here praises funky Kong and doesnât consider him as a cheap character
Well, he's essentially a dressed up easy mode. So that's probably why, in this case.
As a 1 handed gamer, it has always saddened me that nintendo has this thing for weird controllers that immediately excludes disabled gamers from their consoles.
Xbox and ps controllers historically have been fairly easy to use 1 handed, at least for the most part, not to the level of someone with 2 hands but certainly enough to finish most games especially on the lower difficulties and xbox and ps controllers are fairly easy (for people with the know how) to modify to be true 1 handed controls, nintendo...not so much, which is sad as nintendo games are my favourite games.
Nintendo isn't great at accessibility. SEGA did it the best (in the 90s) with the Genesis and the Earphone Jack. I have hearing issues and Bluetooth hearing aids and my trick was to connect up my Bluetooth to 3.5mm adapter to my Genesis.
For SNES all the way up to Switch cable splitting and adapters is necessary for me. PS3 had a dual out mode in the audio settings so I could have HDMI audio for others and also use the phono cables for my adapter set. PS1/PS2, same cable as PS3, just plug the CVBS cable to the TV set and the audio goes to Bluetooth adapter. I don't own a PS4 or any Xboxes, so I can't tell you how to do that.
Also, all of this is recent, I'm actually only 23 and I got into retro collecting because new games aren't that good :)
this added with the button remapping feature really adds a lot of accessibilty options to the switch
Awesome to see a controller my one handed brother can use! Cheers from Denver!
The skills I've gained from using this made my gf happy on a whole new level. (LENNY FACE)
Dude. I play everything one handed play station to Xbox and switch. it's all part of being disabled
Dude. I dont give a shit. Nobody gives a shit
Who cares
@@Maoilios what the fuck is wrong with you?
@@Zocontho how in ps?
I mean, okay.
Yeah I feel like this could be a really great option for people with one hand so more of a specialty product
Hey i play games with just one hand with regular controllers due to my condition and figured out how to do it with ease and am happy to find that people are trying to find ways to play games with just one hand
You should have tested it on something like Octopath Traveler
Is that really a question? It's $60. Most if not all AAA games on the Switch are $60.
Edit*****
+ă§ăLoli Hunter most games on switch sets indies though
eon star
Yes. And? The Switch's AAA titles are almost all $60.
I never disagreed with that statement. But octopath traveler isn't triple A. Also "Most if not all AAA games on the switch are AAA", this sentence doesn't make any sense.
eon star
Oooooof I'm sorry. I accidentally wrote AAA instead of $60.
seems good for disabled people who have no other choice, you'd get used to it if you had to
edit: alot of people said that
Cool idea. Great video.
I love the tiny Megaman.
Anyone else having problems with sticks drifting?
Right stick is seriously acting up and recalibrating it doesn't help at all
Same!
Happened to me too, it wasn't that bad in the beginning, but then i let my brother play and it got fucked.
Something that helped a bit was cleaning the joy con, but it didn't help me that much. So i just bought a new controller and gave the fucked up one to my brother, he won't mind.
But if i was you guys i would try cleaning the stick.
SAME
Micah Vincent the way i get it fixed is by getting one of the laundry sheets and sticking it in the analog stick cleaning out the dust
Lift the rubber flaps underneath the stick and blow concentrated air through the area, from every angle.
maybe a great options for disability
Jason Setley accessibility!!!
Perfect for JRPGs then
I can see myself using this to play Octopath and eat dorritos
I'm disabled and this could actually help me alot! I have partial paralysis on my left side. Too bad I already bought a pro controller with programmable buttons so i could reach them with my right hand lol

My husband and I recently got a switch then our friend purchased for us. I have cerebral palsy and I am in a wheelchair. I am glad that I looked up some articles and this video. I am right-handed, and I have trouble using my left hand as it is very spastic and it is very hard for me to pick up anything with my left hand. I try to play Mario Maker 2, but it is very difficult to play any level with both hands. If I get this controller adapter I am going to have to learn how to best hold it. :-)
This is cool to see one handed joy-cons
âLets try it this way, now letâs try it that way...â
Bur not once did you try it with your left hand.
Thicc beards đ
That curve tho
This would be way easier to control now thanks to the changable control schemes in the switch settings
I had a fractured wrist a few weeks ago and needed to find some games to play with one hand. In the end, I ended up playing Final Fantasy 8 on my old PS1 with one hand but this would've been fun.
There are setting in mario cart for auto accelerate, which would help people with disabilities.
You can combine that with Smart Steering, which would help people with a mental age of 2.
Play the game in one hand....
*CENSORED* with the other...
@Daniela Garza Narvaez heheh
I could be wrong, but this accessory seems to me like it was made specifically for gamers who only have one hand. The very first thing it made me think of was the Xbox adaptive controller (like you mentioned at the end). So while it might not be a great product for everyone, it could be an amazing solution for disabled gamers!
I've seen you collect quite a few different joy cons whether it be a skin, paintjob, or one of the stock colors. I'm just curious which one happens to be your favorite or the one you find yourself using most?
Kevin thank you so much for reviewing this. Late to the game! But my brother had a severe stroke this year and gaming was one of his greatest loves. I'm going to get him this for Christmas. I'm so excited to see his happiness again from this đ„čđ

I looks like it's somewhat designed for one handed play. This could be a boon for accessibility. Instead, use the stick you had issues with.... against your leg. With some proper redesign this could have an extra part to allow for access to the buttons using the ring finger and the pinky. With some modification this could allow people with only one hand to actually play the switch.
I want something like this! I want somekind of Remote for my Switch because I mostly use it for watching CZcams whenever I find WiFi.
I think with the new button remapping thing this could prove very useful for people unable to use one of their hands
drinking game
take a shot everytime kevin says good, fun, best, really
That funky Kong clip was from Mario Super Sluggers
That Megaman Helmet.. I need to have one too.
When I play warframe I use a mouse in one hand and half an xbox 360 controller in the other. Unfortunately i occasionally need to use more than just the buttons on the left side of the gamepad, requiring me to reach to the other side awkwardly, and I've been on the hunt for a gamepad that puts more of the buttons all on one side that i can hold in my left hand, and it's a depressingly sparse market.
if Nintendo makes an official one, they could make the switch read the analog inputs or button inputs flipped depending on which controller in in the back. so if u have the right jc in the front, the left stick and d pad would be reversed, and vice versa if the left joy con is in the front. and of course make it a little more ergonomically correct.
huh. did not notice the hylian shield reflecting in your TV until you started playing Zelda. neat.
I always wanted a controller for you tube that just had a joystick, home button, and A button so i could use youtube like its the home menu and control it with one joycon
That would be really cool for just putting on a shelf and saving space
Your channel is way better than the number of subscribers you have. You deserve like 2M subscribers
Whoever made this is a beautiful human being.
I was really looking forward to seeing how octopath worked with it
What about tactics games? Like WarGroove where you don't have time-sensitive inputs? I wouldn't use this for any action games, but turn-based ones... i'd consider it.
Absolute Madlad
1:44 I feel like I'm watching Billion Surprise Toys with all those effects.
i know you're probably really busy but how much did that tv and stand cost i want both and would like an estimate when you can, great channel thanks!
i feel like this controller would be great for someone that has some type of injury or handicap to one hand, but can use the other fine
I think this is great for games like pokemon, miitopia or mario party because those games dont need as much and constant button mashing
That MegaMan helmet look cool đ.. where do find all weird contraptions at đ€
As someone who is disabled himself, I've been looking for one-handed controller setup. I made do with the Wii controllers for Skyward Sword(though I had bruises from the way I did it.) and breath of the wild(with the wiiu Pro controller) But never had an Enjoyable experience with any controller really. If it were just one analog stick, it would be very easy. But having to Look and move has always been a challenge.
I don't have a switch just yet(Bought a WiiU for BoTW that I thought was Hyrule Warriors(NOPE!)) but I may have to look into this when BotW2 rolls out.
What kind of tv is that the graphics look very clear and smooth
halfcoordinated would love this
a lot of games you can invert controls that mightve helped
halfcoordinated needs this
I definitely see this taking off in the disabity community, for those who have limited to no mobility in one hand
This might not be good for people with both hands, but for people who have injuries, this is great.
I just got a switch so binge watching switch videoâs
How about a joycon without drift can you find one of those I would like to see you review it.
I bought this for my brother. He absolutely loves it. He is having fun with Mario odyssey and Zelda. This small piece of plastic brought happiness to my little bro.
Where did you buy it? I can't find a link anywhere. I had a stroke and lost the use of my left arm. Id really love to play games again.
i think the idea would be to hold it the way you did the first time. But then invert the thumb stick.
Ur tv makes the switch graphics look amazing
Kevin can you unbox and review the Razer raiju ultimate?
Hey kevin, can you do a video on the Hori usb hub stand?
i was just wanting one of these and this got recommended how
