  • I have been asked a couple times to do a video on how I setup my helicopters with the V Control System. Here is a quick look at my method. As stated in the video, I am sure there are a bunch of great ways but this is how I setup up mine.
I like the V Control system for its simplicity and ease of setup and I like how it flys. Please let me know if you have any questions or advice on how to improve.
    Happy flying.
Note: This video is using the V Control Neo. With the new EVO FBL from Mikado you have a choice for setting the center pulse of the swash servos.

Danke, ich verstehe nicht englisch aber Sie zeigen das wirklich Gut das die Bilder und das video sehr Gut zeigen was ein Neuling sehen muss um es auch alleine den Helikopter einzustellen. Super

I get more technical with the head setup (maybe because I used to fly Futaba). I actually check each servo to ensure that the entire swash is level full negative, half negative, center, half positive, full positive. I ensure they are the same pitch at all of these for all the servos on the head. Could be a waste of effort it was just how I learned to setup the head. I do this with a Soko tool which not everyone has.

    Hi Gregg, me again haha.
I measured all my servo to swash linkages and levelled my swash via vtouch, then I used a pitch gauge but both blades fitted read differently say 13 then the other blade spun round read 12. I adjusted by winding out the linkages from swash to blade arm.
Should those linkages from swash to blade arm be exactly the same length?
Or should I only be measuring pitch with the 1 front blade?
    Thank you.

My approach is with the swash level, I designate a master blade and mark it with a dot on the blade grip arm. I align that blade forward parallel to the boom and get it to 0 at mid stick and set min and max pitch. I then rotate the hard 180 and do the same for the other blade. I dont worry too much about the swash to blade grip arm linkages being the same. As long and the swash is level.
