She and her mother suggested to her mentor Filah that she should cover ‘Phendula’ by Zahara. From the moment she sampled the song, it was clear that she could bring it out effectively.
Phendula is a prayer asking why there is so much suffering in Africa. This is a prayer to ask God to save Africa. Additional Swahili lyrics have been added by Filah.
