♥♥♥♥♥ #WishingTikal About: Hey there, I'm Gen, or Tikal. I worked years on Gamefaqs writing walkthroughs. Now I make video guides out of them. I do 100% collectibles runs to show where all of the secrets are. I record all footage all by myself, every single one, and edit them together to remove mistakes, or loading times, to make for the best and most fluid viewing experience possible and help others. My walkthroughs are usually of superior quality, so pick mines! I record in 1080p most of the time, except my older videos which are in 720p. I use HDPVR2 to record. I work the hardest possible to provide you the best gaming help. All games are posted with permission from the owners and some game codes are also often given by the publisher. There’s honestly something ethereal about this game. The early 2000s 3D graphics & funky music make it feel like a massive acid trip.
The movie itself was a like on drugs aswell :p
the only movie to do a great job on the video game
yea i rmember 6 yr old me playing this
Thank you for uploading a hidden gem from my childhood

Right?!
Yes for real though
I think you mean hidden stinky rock

Took me 12 years to finish this game. Some of the most stressful times of my life.
Now I know why it never got port to Xbox 360 lol.
so real
12 years well I guess you had some problem I finished it atleast in like a little less then a month fun game loved it
@@venom-123 I started playing it yesterday and already up to the mission at 1:40:36
I wanted to see the levels I was never able to do, I just wanted to go upstairs :(

Holy. Shit. This just triggered the most intense form of nostalgia I’ve felt in a LONG time. I can’t even describe it.
The memories are so vague yet insanely powerful

Yeah I got it on ps2 awesome game but i completed it to 100% 4 times sad I finished it
I'm honestly only watching this for nostalgia. I haven't seen anything in this game in years! I played it when I was like four.
sammmeeeee
Saaame
Same bro a lot of memories are coming back
Same!

This is an example of a good licensed game. It’s simple but the world design is genuinely creative and the mechanics are interesting enough to keep you engaged. It’s style is fantastic and I’d love to see a modern Dr. Suess video game. You don’t really have to see it as tied to the movie. It stands alone for the most part as a cat in the hat experience.
There’s one thing you should know about this game: It’s a Klonoa Clone.
@@robbiewalker2831 Not quite a "clone" (jump and collecting systems are notably different) but very heavily based on Klonoa 2's gameplay style.
Also I recognize that icon from the Models Resource, lol, fancy running into you here.
2:54 Time flies when you’re having fun, well this could take a while! (Grandfather Clock)
12:33 Welcome to the Jungle baby! (Venus Cat Trap)
25:56 Ah monsieur, let us make beautiful music together! (Musical Madness)
48:02 Ugh yuck! This place is in serious need of a defrost! (Freezer Burn)
1:14:36 Be careful now, burnt fur smells really bad and it hurts! (Boiler Bonanza)
1:36:15 Ah no! have you ever smelled wet fur? Bad bad bad! (Wishy Washy)
1:51:50 I’ve heard we’re all just cogs in a machine but this is ridiculous! (Mechanical Mayhem)
2:17:29 Better living through chemistry? I don’t think so! (Chemistry Chaos)
2:39:18 I’ll never understand this human obsession with baths. When you’re a cat there’s nowhere you can’t lick! (Trouble Bath)
2:52:15 Are you sure this was actually in the film? This is a licensed product you know! (Attic Adventure)
3:08:56 Oh Joy! A secret level! Is there no chance of me getting home tonight!? (Mystical Mirror - Secret World)
Forgot the "I came, I saw, I kicked its a...! Yeah, this is family entertainment, isn't it?" around 11 minutes in
That’s the exit out of Grandfather Clock world. 11:13 I was only going for the entries into each world. But that is still a hilarious line!🤣👍

"I came, I saw, I kicked its a...! Yeah, this is family entertainment, isn't it?"
Never gets old. 😆
You know. For kids)
Cute ghostbusters reference. Also works as a joke even if you don’t know the reference. Definitely didn’t get it in either sense as a kid.
Holy christ this was the most terrifying gaming experience ive ever had as a kid
This game feels like it shouldn't exist
Please this game still scares me-
Why did it scare you if I may ask?
Did cat or the fish scare you? Or did the other creatures scare you?
@@thateditorcat6699 listen when ur a dumb kid and too dumb to play games LMAO this game was stressssssful😂 and sometimes it was just too odd. Like the shrimp playing the trumpet in the music box world. The inhales r just ODD asf
1. I remember this being a lot more detailed and 2. I remember this being way harder
I was afraid of those plunger birds
That's true
Probably was in both respects
The plunger birds looked pretty cool but made me pretty anxious so I called my mom and she sat and watched me play cause I new she had the sandal to protect me XD
Got chills showing my husband this video, I remember seeing this intro about a million times because we didn't have a memory card, so we had to start fresh every day lol. Gotta say though, we never made it past the third level, so it was nice to see the end. Thanks for the nostalgia.
Actually scratch that, I skipped to the end of the video, and I def feel like I've seen that boss battle before. Pretty sure we just left the playstation running for a few days, or maybe I've already watched the videos lol
If anyone's here in 2023? Then happy 20th anniversary for The Cat in the Hat for the game and the movie. That's why i love movies and games together because of this. Alongside with SSX 3, Def Jam vendetta, Phone Booth, Downhill Domination, SpongeBob Battle for binkini bottom, Backyard wrestling don't try this at home, Freaky Flyers, Malibu's most wanted, Tomb raider the cradle of life and the rest of movies and games i forgot was released in 2003.
Rest in Peace 🪦Kelly Preston 1962-2020 you will definitely be missed so much
Cat losing it over the ‘imminently powerful’ thing in the intro ‘because it wasn’t in his script’ is actually pretty clever, as that’s about the one difference in the story between the movie, and the game. Cat must have had the script for the Movie. Honestly, cat and fish, have some of the best dialogue, with cat in a teleporter, also being consistently hilarious, but I never get sick of a good ol’ *”HEHHEEY.”* 😂 Despite the difficulty spike after Boss 1, it looks like you’ve not struggled with this game, as much as I did. Well played.
This game is my childhood. My sister and I played this a lot back in 2003 and early 2004.
I also never knew how much stuff the PC version (the version I played) was missing from the other versions. No T.V Quinn level, and the bonus doors (the white doors unlocked by four keys) don't lead to a different part of the level; they just throw collectibles at you when you open them.
(Quinn's quips for when he leaves each level as you approach the door)
1. Grandfather Clock: "Time's up, Cat!"
2. Venus Cat-Trap: "You're gonna be plant food, Cat!"
3. Musical Madness: "Hearing you struggle is music to my ears, Cat!"
4. Quinn TV: (First Boss Level)
5. Freezer Burn: "Alright, Cat, this time, I'm gonna put you on ice!"
6. Boiler Bonanza: "Sorry, Cat, this time I had to turn up the heat!"
7. Wishy Washy: "You're all washed-up, Cat!"
8. Mechanical Mayhem: "I'm gonna leave you in the dust, Cat!"
9. BB-Quinn: (Next Boss Level)
10. Chemistry Chaos: "Aww, Puddy Cat, we got real bad chemistry!"
11. Trouble Bath: "Alright, Cat, I hope you can swim!"
12. Attic Adventure: "Hope you're not afraid of the dark, Cat!"
13. Mystical Mirror: (I came up with this one) "This doesn't reflect well on me, Cat!"
14. Quinn in Toyland: (Final Boss Level)
(There you have it, guys.)
Thanks and the mirror one you made up was great good one
I thought this shit was a fever dream i had. I played the hell out of this when i was a kif. Thank you for the nostalgia
Last time I played this game I was six (16 now) The memories man, the memories.
You played this pretty late. I was around 8 when I played and now I'm 25 lol
Happy 18th birthday lmao, maybe 19th??
I’m 27 now
I played this in like 2008 when I was 7 maybe. In 21 now
I just wanted to go upstairs :(
you didn’t miss much it only got harder, that’s when I gave up lol
It wasn't that hard
I actually have two different eras of nostalgia for this game, 2011 and lockdown. I played it in 2011 but I lost my copy years later so we ordered it online and it arrived the day that lockdown started which was definitely good timing. That was pretty much all I was up to at the time. The quote I remember when I first played it was 'I came I saw I kicked his ah yes this is family entertainment isn't it' I understand why people have their problems with the game, but regardless it will always have a special place in me and other peoples hearts, and I appreciate the fun and subsequently nostalgia it has provided me.
Oh my god this game was my childhooood😍😭
Oh god I love watching these
This is nostalgia right here. I remember my sister is a play this game all the time, I would watch them, and I enjoyed it.
Kevin Flaherty: At 11:14 THIS is SO funny.
Ah yes. The intro. Narrated by Donald Trump
I thought he sounded like Trump too lol
Damn now I can never unhear it🤣
It's actually the voice of pathfinder from apex legends
It's hard to believe because he sounds so different from then till now lol
😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you enjoyed watching my childhood game
I played the hell out of this game it was actually kind of fun
So the opening before the "press Start" screen is kinda reminiscent of Doctor Who
True
The voice of the Cat in this game is the same voice actor as Pathfinder in Apex Legends, lmfao
Fr?
Mike Myers?
@@chambers0188 This game didn't have the budget to get Myers to come back after the film, so they hired Chris Edgerly who did a pretty decent impression.
Cat: "Don't you just want to watch the DVD instead"
Me: NOO!!!
Dudeeee, I played this sooo long ago on the original Xbox and I randomly remembered the game last night and looked it up. The last level was the only thing I could remember the purple dude in some machine thing lool
The dude is quinn
You are unlocking secret memories from when my family inexplicably had this game on PC as a kid. Genuinely one of the hardest games I've ever played.
The memories this game brings omg
Thank you for bringing my child hood back for a brief moment also watched the sherk game this morning.

The movie may have been trash, but this game is surprisingly decent. 😳
The movie was not trash
The movie is a masterpiece you bumbling fool!

My fav part in the movie is when cat was singing fun fun and got punched in the balls by a kid with a bat
I was remembering this game at night. I want to play it once more :,)
What a delightful title! Here's a story to match:
In the whimsical world of Wackyland, where the sun shone bright with a perpetual twinkle in its eye, the inhabitants lived life in Technicolor hues. The air was sweet with the scent of sugar and spices, and the landscape was a tapestry of vibrant colors, woven from threads of imagination.
In this fantastical realm, the town of Flibberdejibbet was renowned for its eccentric residents, who delighted in the absurd and the extraordinary. The mayor, a flamboyant figure with a penchant for polka dots and ruffled shirts, was beloved for his ability to conjure up the most fantastical festivals.
At the heart of Flibberdejibbet was the enigmatic Emilia Fizzypop, a young woman with hair that changed color with her mood and a smile that could light up the darkest of caverns. Emilia was an inventor of peculiar contraptions, each one more outlandish than the last. Her latest creation, the Whimsy-Whirly-Whirly-Wheel, was said to have the power to make anyone's wildest dreams come true.
One fateful evening, as Emilia tinkered with her latest invention in her workshop, a mysterious stranger appeared at her doorstep. His name was Jasper Jinglewhiskers, a charismatic adventurer with a mischievous glint in his eye and a penchant for getting into all sorts of trouble. Jasper claimed to be on a quest to find the legendary Golden Gigglewater, a treasure rumored to grant the most ridiculous of wishes.
Emilia was skeptical at first, but Jasper's charm and charisma soon won her over. Together, they set out on a journey across Wackyland, navigating through bizarre landscapes and encountering an array of eccentric characters along the way. There was Professor Peculiarpants, who spoke only in rhyming couplets; Bubbleberry Bill, a juggler who kept his juggling balls in perpetual motion; and the enigmatic Lady Luna Lollipop, whose kisses were said to grant eternal youth.
As they delved deeper into the unknown, Emilia and Jasper discovered that they were not alone in their quest. A rival treasure hunter, the sinister Silas Snoopysnout, was hot on their heels, determined to claim the Golden Gigglewater for himself.
The journey took them to the shores of Lake Loopylagoon, where they encountered a tribe of singing mermaids who harmonized with such precision that it could shatter glass. They braved the treacherous Forest of Flibulous Fancies, where trees whispered secrets to those who listened closely. And they stumbled upon the bustling Market of Marvelous Mysteries, where vendors peddled their wares in riddles and rhymes.
As they neared their destination, Emilia and Jasper found themselves face-to-face with Silas Snoopysnout in an epic battle of wits and whimsy. In a surprising twist, Emilia's Whimsy-Whirly-Whirly-Wheel turned out to be more than just a clever contraption - it was the key to unlocking the Golden Gigglewater's secrets.
In a climactic finale, Emilia and Jasper solved a series of absurd puzzles and riddles, ultimately claiming the Golden Gigglewater as their own. But as they held the treasure aloft, they realized that its true power lay not in granting wishes, but in bringing people together through laughter and wonder.
And so, Emilia and Jasper returned to Flibberdejibbet as heroes, their bond stronger than ever. The town celebrated with a grand festival, featuring fireworks that spelled out "Wackyland Forever" in glittering sparks. From that day on, Emilia's Whimsy-Whirly-Whirly-Wheel became a symbol of Wackyland's unwavering spirit of imagination and creativity.
For in this fantasy realm, even the most improbable dreams could come true - as long as one held onto the magic of Wackyland.
Finally, we've found Klonoa 3 after all these years.
The nostalgia is real! I loved this game back in the day
As a kid I would always replay the first couple levels of almost every game. I played the first few missions of this, super Mario sunshine, sonic adventure. Good times
This is my favourite childhood game and I bought it yesterday so I’m going to play it when it came!
Where did you buy it from? And for what console?

I definitely remember having this game for the ps2 at 7 years old 😭
My first game lol 😂 so much nostalgia

3:20:15 Ending
0:00 Here's an idea for a version of the game that is not The Cat in the Hat, but The Pink Panther. The titular Pink Panther would be following Big Nose the Little Man to stop him from collecting magic to make himself immensely powerful. And here's what I would call each world level:
1. Grandfather Clock: Hickory Dickory Pink
2. Venus Cat-Trap (AKA Potted Plant Level in PC): Pink of the Jungle
3. Musical Madness: Rhapsody in Pink
4. Quinn TV (Exclusive to XBOX and PS2): TV Pink
5. Freezer Burn: Pink a la Mode
6. Boiler Bonanza: Turn Up the Pink
7. Wishy Washy (Placed after the boss level in PC): Pink Washing Machine
8. Mechanical Mayhem (Again, placed after boss level in PC): Pink Your Engines
9. BB-Quinn (Placed before Wishy Washy and Mechanical Mayhem in PC): Pink-ventional Oven
10. Chemistry Chaos: Pink Chemistry
11. Trouble Bath: Singing in the Pink Tub
12. Attic Adventure: It is Pink in the Attic
13. Mystical Mirror (You can choose to play this next in XBOX and PS2): Mirror Mirror on the Pink
14. Quinn in Toyland: Pink Toy Chest
I admit, those aren't my best titles to mention "pink" in them, but what do you think of that? Also, when the credits play, I would mute the music to play the Christophe Beck arrangement of the theme to The Pink Panther. Can you imagine such a thing like this?
OMG I've totally missed this game.
I play this, when i was visit aunt, so good memories, and i never find that DVD again 🥺
Quinn's quote before entering the levels.
1:36 and 11:31: I need somewhere to hide.

42:42: Which way?
47:16: Gotta keep moving.
1:13:43: Gotta stay ahead of that cat.
1:35:15: He still ain’t caught me yet.
1:50:50: Mmm my master plan continues.
2:10:30: Ah well, a slight inconvenience.
2:16:32: Which way should I go?
2:38:18: Oh where should I go next?
2:51:25: Just stay one step ahead.
3:07:50: He'll pay for this.
I had to look this up because everytime i remember this game it just feels like a fever dream to me, so i just had to make sure it was real and that i wasnt just tripping
Never played it but had alot of ps2 games and I was my favorite movie as a kid

Damn, this is *just* Klonoa.
That was exactly my thought when I played this game as a kid, and in fact I came here to see if anyone else commented that. Wasn't a complaint though; it's good gameplay.
@@Sparkette well, Klonoa is a 2.5D platformer. Classic Sonic’s gameplay in Generations takes a similar method in terms of the camera.

I still have my PS2 from back in the day but lost the game years ago, when my family moved. Might buy a copy online. I won't lie, I'd love to see it remastered for the nintendo switch but I doubt that's going to happen.
God this brings me back tooooooo far
Back for round 2 I suppose XD
Just realized I spent a good amount of time on this game and only got through the first few levels
This is my favorite game. It took me years to beat bc I lost the disc when I was very young. A helpful trick to get 100% is that at the end of almost every section, the amount of magic should be a multiple of 100 (there are a few exceptions)
I just love the way Cat runs.
I love how the kids do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to try and stop Quinn from running around house even during the times when he is literally right in front of them.
Bruh
1:13:23 Quinn: A looney we will go
2:07:07 Cat: Me-me-me-me-me-meow
3:05:52 Cat: AW COME ON! THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS
Mom, can we have Klonoa?
No we have Klonoa at home.
At home:
I never played this but i love the movie
This game was a lot of fun and it was better than the movie, like the Chicken Little game. I regret giving away both of them.
My favorite old gameplay yeah
Wait... this wasn’t a fever dream?
the Boil Furnace is a Wacky Silly
It's up to the cat to clean up the mess before sam and Sally's mom comes up
I remember I NEVER got to the upstairs or even past the car level bc I COULD NOT beat one of the levels? But watching you play I realized most of the levels are the same concept and I don't think I tried to get all the items in each level as a kid like you do so minus all that disorienting backtracking, I don't understand why I never made it very far HAHA
