PictureFit hi picturefit need some advice on what to do to stil promote muscle growth but having a very hectic lifestyle of long days/ 24h calls/ maybe 6h sleep max. Stil eating good. But can feel my body is getting tired to maintain my current workout routines.
Advice will be greatly appreciated :-)

PictureFit I do workout twice daily everyday please 🙏 I need some help
Hey PictureFit, I have been doing workouts with 35,000-40,000 pounds of volume per workout, way too much! I am slimming down my workouts, and I here natural lifters should not do more than like 25 sets per won’t at most, but what about isolation, on my chest and shoulders day, I am going to do 4 chest exercises and 4 deltoid exercises, but I want to do shrugs, scapular rows and pull-up
S(work mid and lower traps for thickness in back) and scapular bench press(works serrated which compliments chest and lats very well). Do isolation exercises like this count? They have very low impact compared to compound and I don’t think would be a big deal. What do you think?
Here's a definition for overtraining: when there isn't enough time between workouts for your muscles to recover and build. If it continues, it leads to injury.
Exactly which is why so.many people who workout get injured. They are chronically overtrained.
How long should you wait
@@fusiongxge5105 Learn from experience. When you start having chronic pains, you have been overtraining that part of your body.
@@ozzy5146 can you overtrain without the pains?
@@fender1000100 I wouldn’t say most people overtrain, most injuries probably comes from improper form or egolifting. Vast majority of people aren’t training anywhere often or hard enough to overtrain
I would rather overtrain than under gain
- Dom
Hyper 031 *gun shot*
I know Dom is just satire, but overtraining IS undergaining.
The end result is the same! Under achievement! But at least you feel better about yourself failing because you did too much rather than doing not enough.
but you are exhausting and destroying your body
@@LeChristEstRoi Not great on the long run, been sore will prevent you from doing exercise on next days. And if you go anyways then performance wont be optimal
Really looking forward to your overreaching video now! Keep it up PictureFit!
That porn music tho
Magnus J wait what!?
Lol
Wait a minute
WRONG! Thats West coast music
Context eyes 👀
So interesting to know!!! Like always. I liked the chart explaining the overtraining, with and without resting. So easy to understand. Thanks 🙏
Glad it helps!
What I've learned is:
caloric deficit+heavy lifting+no deloading= overtraining (insomnia, irritable, gym underperformance, slow metabolism)
counteract with 1 week deload OR week off
slight caloric deficit+heavy lifting AND deloading every 4-5 weeks = no overtraining
I love this channel, keep the videos coming!
Enjoyed and learned alot of things from your videos. Amazing presentation and information. Thank you!
Not sure i really understand overreaching it would make a great sequel to this video.
Overreaching leads to perf improvment after a week or 2 of recuperation...in the other hand overtraining is a state of systemic exhaustion from which you need several months to recover.
Christus Rex but what if i dont hav 2 weeks do i just deload?
In a well-planned overreaching protocol, the recuperation period is a deload...it's not like after overreaching you do nothing...
Anyway this subject is very complex, too much parameters to take into consideration to give you an answer over youtube comment section...
Great as usual mate! Thanks for your good job.
Appreciate the watch brother.
Ive been waiting for another video for the past several days...thanks for finally uploading!! Also those tees look pretty good I might get one
Im 53 and work nights....about 50 hr a week. I spend about 10 to 12 hrs a week in the gym. When I was younger this was no problem. I have found recently after about 8 weeks without a break that my system just starts to shut down. I also was dealing with my daughter having surgery and things going south at work in the same week. I guess its different for everyone, But for me these days, I'm going to plan a deload week every 6 weeks or so.
You're a hardworking man. Is your daughter okay now? I hope she's doing fine.
Damn you 58 now?
Did I learn anything? It depends...
Derpster: haha 😂
Such an underrated comment
Great video - really love your work.
Thank you!
Eagerly waiting for this!!. Now it came. Thanx picturefit. 😍😍
Calisthenics Athlete. Hey man. Your physique is incredible! How much test do you take?
Looks to be about 750mL test prop/wk and 4cc tren with some inhibitors. Let me know how close I am
118 views? definitely one of the first, keep it up! cheers from Mendoza, Argentina!
Great video! A personal and athletic trainer I've been following wrote in his blog that most beginner and average gym goers dont experience over training, they experience under-recovery (usually). He mentions top level athletes are more likely to experience over training. Wanted to hear your thoughts. Great work!
I think they coincide together. Yes, it is much more unlikely that a beginner will overtrain. But a good personal trainer will not force such a workout strategy to induce overtraining on a beginner to begin with. Recovery definitely needs to be ample, regardless of fitness level.
100 push ups
100 sit ups
100 squats
10km run
everyday for 3 years. Is this over training?
vegita;?
One puuuuunch
Eventually, you'll be bald.
Yamcha Fed Top I don’t even thibk you can call that training
Not even close, very far away from it. It's farther than far away. It's not even a distance, it's just not even a thing.
Amazing video! This is one of the best videos about overtraining I’ve watched :). Jeff Nippard’s comes as a close second hehe
Hah, awesome. Thanks!
Yay, new Picturefit vid!
Woohoo!
PictureFit and now I feel blessed.
I love ur videos!!
THIS VIDEO IS JUST IN TIME, thankyou.
Glad to help!
amazing content 👏👏👏👏
Blessed 💯
That music reminds me of a Jeff Nippard video 👌 can't wait for that collab!
I remember when I was at my peak form, I always pushed further, always needed to get that extra rep in, adding extra cardio, with no deload for like 4 months straight, I was so obsessed with it. And I was wondering why I had zero appetite, suffered from insomnia and felt like utter garbage almost always lol
How long did it take u to recovee and what symptoms did u have?
@@DarkoFitCoach insomnia, lack of appetite, bad mood, weakness, low libido, there were some more but I don't remember now. It took me a little over 5~ months to fully recover
@@iamtakingapiss7916 i have all those plus brainfog as well. Did u stop training fully during recovery?
@@DarkoFitCoach I stopped training entirely for the first 3 weeks, focused on getting back my sleep first. When I got better I started going on walks, then long walks, and then after like 3 month I would do 30% of my usual routine, kept it very light and wasn't in the gym longer than 30 minutes. Was doing that until I felt great again and then resumed my routine
GREAT CONTENT and GREAT MUSIC 5*
.hi. thank you for all the info you are giving us especially when it is backed by science
could you make a video about N.O., Arginine , Citrulline , Beta-Alanine, Creatine (types of creatine and what is most effective), the benefits of each and one of them, who can benefit from it, how to take it correctly and so on...
and again thank you for all your videos your awsome.
Very good video
Hi picture fit , how are you ?
Can you please make a video about Controlled overtraining and the so called Feeder workouts ?
I like the idea of the controlled overtraining for increased muscle size tremendously.
Thank you.
This might be kinda related to this but I pinched a nerve on both my pinkies and when I wake up in the morning I can’t feel both fingers, but obviously as I move them around the feeling comes back and there’s a specific tricep workout that for some reason only my right pinky loses feeling. I started putting an ice bag on both fingers but does anyone else know any other things that can help?
Do you recomend a "layoff week"/month etc, I've heard a lot of people talk about it, but I'm not sure when to take time off and how long.
Can you do a video about how many times a week we have to workout to keep our mass the same (after we got the body we desire)
Can you make a video about topic that says if you lift heavy you can stop growing.
I' ve heard about that and I want to hear ur opinion about this
Average gym goer: What is overtraining and how do I overcome it?
Powerlifter prepping for meet: First time?
Could you do a video about protein timing? Or is there one I'm not aware of
I’m doing full body Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. would it be okay to do yoga or some mobility training on Tuesday and Thursday? And just have the weekends of to sort of reset the whole thing?
thank you!
If I do cardio in the morning, and muscle work in the evening, would that be too much? I’ve got a very short period of time to lose some weight as exams are taking up my time right now
Yo bro, would you be able to do a video on the benefits of water fasting? Thanks man.
Can you talk about ECA stack ? BTW gr8 videos you help me a lot
Can you do one on exercise addiction or compulsive exercise! That would,be great thanks
please do a video on overtraining injuries, i think i have one in my left middle trap which comes as a burning sensation in that muscle if it was under stress for several minutes probably cause i used to train it three times a day almost every day and i'd appreciate it if you tell me how to recover from this injury
Nice vid
Thanks man
I am doing full body program, with 8 exercises, 4 times a week. Any advices? Should I reduce exercises amount? like 5 or 6?
Hey picture fit can you do a video on speed and what workouts will make you run faster
Can you please make a video about lifting belts? ARE THEY GOOD OR BAD
Can we get a video that speaks to the aspect of time heavy weights with 8-10 reps vs time under tension with moderate weight at 10-14 reps?
What microphone do you use?
When I overtrain (i think) my body usually gets feverish and all my muscles feel super sore. This is a sign correct?
No. Are you using any hard drugs or have alcohol addiction? Those are classic withdrawal symptoms. Look into recovery programs
jack p LOL! Can't tell if you're being serious xD no ni hard drugs. I train then one day i get a stuffy nose and feel fatigued and out of energy. If I train intensely, the next day I get a flu/fever
Toppo something similar happens to me. I think it's cuz any stress weakens ur immune system and makes u more vulnerable to getting sick. For me if I work out intensely for a couple of weeks I start getting a sore throat and if I don't lay off the intensity I'll get sick.
So I guess You simply have weak organism right now(living in polluted place, allergies, other people sick)
So just go rly rly down with intensity, reps ect. only so You don't loose all gains. And after week or so of good without deficit diet try again.
Or maybe You loosed too much weight if You cut right now. Or eat to little.
And if You feel rly bad in any way just stop completely and say by bye to gains. As first thing that organism will get rid in case of sickness will be muscles.
my guess would be that because you are using all your energy to train your body halts the immune system
dosent help that gyms arent the most sanitary places as well
how do you get endurance muscle with weights. (do a video
how many excersizes should you do per muscle/muscle group
Does elevation mask really works training masks? What does it exactly do? Who should use it?
Overtraining? I think you mean OverGaining 💪🏾🔥
My man
No no don't get confuse there is Difrance in over reaching vs overtraining
Na
Mmmh. Send us a pic of what you look like now. You sound 13 years old.
@@conradduplooy6570 Sure thing!! And I'm 31 fyi lol the fact that you people can't handle a joke, tells me how insecure you are with your gym regimen
Overtraining is different for the resistance training vs aerobics, and cause different symptoms, called symphatic or parasymphatic, because is the portion or nervous system that is affected. The overtraining diagnosis is reached comparing the cortisol / testosterone ratio with the normal.
What's sympahetic
Bruh I can handle high volume on a slight surplus but the same volume on a deficit killllsss me :( should I exchange volume for intensity?
OF COURSE!
Hey. It’s hard for me not to train to hard because I’m doing high intensity training all except for 1 day. So do you guys know any more recovery tips please. I’m 16
Casein protein before bed helped me a lot
What if your sore? I've been lifting for a couples years now. I had age day 3 days ago and I planned on doing legs today but I'm still pretty sore. Would it be counter productive to lift legs today?
If it hinders your performance, then I would take another day of resting.
Thanks!
Do a video about nuclei overload training
He can't since there are no real studies done on it..it works though
What if i train on deload for many weeks and some time i put more weights?
Can you do a video on the science behind training masks? And if they are worth the money or not?
Hey, do you think you could do product reviews, and teach us why one product is better than the other, and what we should look for etc.? Love your videos. This is by far the most helpful channel on CZcams! You’re doing us all a big favor, man.
I've started doing pull ups recently and I was able to do 7 like a week ago and now 6 is very hard for me and I can do only 5 clean. Can it be overreaching?
Progress isn't linear, you might be able to do more one day and not another, completely normal. Diet, rest, and fatigue from earlier sets are also factors.
ShioasRelam No, I am not a starter, I've just never done pull ups before, so I am very bad at it now.
KDZ Yeah, but from solid 7 to hard 5, that's a big jump. I've been doing less pull ups last 3 days and I can still do only 5.
Tazer Just in a rut, It happens. One week I was hitting PRs on every lift. Next I was having a hard time with moderate weight. Nothing to worry too much about.
Maybe you put on more muscle weight on your legs and haven’t developed your back sufficiently. Do lat pull downs for a month then go back to it
I like your English ..!
Holy shit, I took something that's like Aderall yesterday and it gave me these symptoms 1:45 but I didn't have a problem with fatigue and performance. Am I overtraining?
Tom platz will define these things very well, Over to Tom
Awesomeness
My training time - 20 Min everyday
How much recovery time should I give I have been doing this since 5 months .
Thanks in advance
Hi. Can you make a video about fatburners?
0:50 Wait, hold up, if I overreach... Do I have to wait 1-2 weeks without training? Am I not allowed to train anything?
So overreaching is like nucleus overloading?
Could you please expand on "overreaching" in a next video? Thanks! Cheers!
Seriously, PictureFit sounds more and more like Jeff Nippard with each video. Aren't you guys one and the same? (We wouldn't mind really!) Love all the vids! ;)
Gogeta mode.
nice thanks
Yesterday, I felt crappy so I searched for overtraining info and here you go
Hope it helps!
it depends
Question about this. I work a physically demand job 5-6 days a week and try to hit the gym 4 times a week. How susceptible to over training am I? I feel like I have run into this wall a couple of times without knowing it.
look into hrv monitoring
It depends
could you do a video on nucleus overload?
When you say "Volume" do you mean reps x sets x weight or the bro definition of reps x sets? Cheers.
Yes
Thank you so much. I started thinking I overtrain, thank god non of the symptoms are not related to me.
To the people new to training, overtraining is 100 percent real. Don’t fall into the trap many of us did, that all out mindset isn’t sustainable over the long run and has injured me a few times. Do your own research, I recommend looking at John Meadows and Mike Israetel for training, nutrition, and recovery.
I go to the gym 6-7 days a week, 4-6 hours a day. Granted I play basketball 2 hours a day. My diet isnt perfect but it’s clean, why do I still have stomach fat?
Did you do a commercial for diabetes? I heard it on the radio!! And it sounds like you!!!!
I'm training 6 days consecutive using bro split
It's a very real thing, even for non-athletes, unfortunately. My main symptoms have been decreased sleep quality, malaise, and sympathetic nervous system dominance.
How much intense exercise you can put up with is going to vary alot from individual to individual. For some people, it doesn't take much. Also, things don't always fall apart at the same rate. Sex hormones and immune system tend to go out earlier than you'ld expect.
Yes it's real!!!!!! I play soccer and usually feel like I float around my opponents, when I over train I feel like am carrying bag of sands on my legs. It happened because of my daily high intensity workouts and training combined with bad sleeping and improper diet. i doubt It would of happened had I slept good and ate adequately. the more serious you get with your workouts the more serious you also need to get with your diet, sleep, recovery sessions, ect.
I dont know if i'm overtrained or not, but if I am, It feels kinda weird since Im a newbie and I've been working out for a few weeks (I have rest days and plenty good nutrition btw).
I've gained quite a bit of muscle and got firmer but recently I've started feeling weak and lost my apetite. I basically cant eat enough to get all my calories and protein in, cause food makes me feel sick. I dont even have cravings anymore...
I'm going to stop doing heavy exercises, do some cardio instead and keep on eating just the same as before for a few days and see how it goes.
I might have overdone it a bit cause I push myself to the limits, but is that normal for a newbie? Is it possible to be overtrained so soon?
can you do a video about dup?
Overtrained so had once, I fucked up my posture, confidence, diet and then thanks to quarantine all gyms closed and I got myself fixed with home workouts. At he moment I am fine and got back to the gym stronger than ever.
Overtraining is deffinetly a thing... I have experienced it first hand, and it was the cause of intensity not volume. Just look up Rhabdomyalose, when you break down muscle tissue you release CK into your blood stream which in high consentrations is toxic to your kidneys.
The higher eccentric damage you cause the more CK you release to the blood stream. I had potential fatal levels after 50 minute workout. Was hospitalized for 2 days with fluids to cleanse my blood.
I never see fitness professionals mention this! This should be a topic cause some people push themselves too hard in order to get better results. This is espescially important for begginers! Get your rest and don’t use cheat sets / hardcore dropsets
hi my friend I work out 5days/week and 2 hrs each day
I have started to have sleep problems 1week ago and even when I fall sleep I wake up after 3-4 hrs and not able to sleep anymore
it's too annoying I guess I am experiencing overtraining
what should I do to heal it🙁
So the first minute or so of this video supports Mike Mentzer’s high intensity training methods. Terminology may differ, but essentially he was preaching super high intensity, short bouts of training. Followed by up to 2 weeks before training that muscle. Essentially he was trying to put the body in an “over reaching” state with each workout. Thus eliminating the need for further training and allowing the muscles to grow and overcompensate. I’m not saying i prescribe to these methods although I had my best gains using his system when I was a bit younger vs volume and or higher frequency type routines. It just seems to coincide what he was saying in he 70’s - 90’s
since 1-5 reps are strength and 6-12 are hypertrophy with endurance being +15 reps, when I do pushups, how can I make them 1-5 reps without adding weight? Can I do slow reps?
one arm-clap-super man and other variations
I recommend watching Mike Mentzer and Dorian Yates. They recommend low volume high intensity sessions with a few days of rest between each workout. I started eating more, train for 45mins every other day or 2 days. Sleep/nap more. Stress less. Less caffeine.
Can you do a video on Sarms
What about presioners they train the muscles everyday
Trained my spinal erectors on 1/3 days for two months (defecit romanian deadlift). Now i struggle with 40 kg squat and i can barely tie my shoes. Bad idea
