I'm a dump truck driver for 17 years I've seen and done some things like this. Got to respect log truck drivers very dangerous job.it's not for everyone that's for sure.
That's crazy! I've seen what happens to a 4x4 truck that rolled off a road similar and nobody survived and the truck is still sitting at the bottom because they can't get it out. It's estimated the truck rolled 200 times before slamming into trees near the bottom. Everybody died. Said road edge gave way and off it went. Loads of respect for these guys.
I logged my young life on Vancouver Island mostly on the riggin on ground like that...its one thing climbing around of them sidehills in your cork boots...its another bringing a load down...huge respect for all the truck driver's...and typically, always awesome guys!
Oh, gracious, this reminds me of riding with my dad in his logging truck in Sonora, Ca so many years ago. I had to close my eyes and scrunch down in the seat
And, as the old saying goes: "The fuel you save going downhill isn't going to make up for the fuel burn going uphill.....!" GREAT Vid... Thanks for posting..! Gordon
Easy peasy! Learned to drive trucks with log trucking & a great experience! Thankya for sharing your knowhow as well & as always, truck safe driver, 10-4. Whatch that hill side when it becomes greasy!!!
As a guy who just regularly drives a 10 wheel dump trucks on roads like this, I have mad respect for log truck drivers who do it.
Truckers really don't get enough credit....
These guys work too hard for to little and we all take the risks they face for granted I know I'm thankful for the work they do
