I have used that planting guide for years and never thought to fold it to line up the later months. Lol. I wanted to add that potatos are a great fall crop. I have to use my leftover spring potatos as seed as you can't generally buy them. It allows the leftover fall crop to be used in spring. Win/win

It really helps me to see more clearly! I've got a few potato varieties growing as well and I'm with you on planting from saved seed potatoes. Happy gardening!

Just the video I needed. Through your help last year I got some great crops but, like the carrots, took a long time. I might go ahead and put the frost covers on at your 50F suggestion. It's better than nail-biting timing a frost. At 50F - I know I'm good if the weather really dips in the am. Thanks!

HI great to see you. I have a few sweet potato starts. Can I plant them outside in the ground now? Thank you for everything you say.

I got my cold weather garden in the ground a couple weeks ago. Ready to seed again for conservative planting.

Now the weather really is about to change! Given the early winter weather on the way, I’ve got to get some row cover in this weekend. We’ll warm up again but 30s and 40s for a couple of days is gonna to be a shock! I also have indoor seed starting equipment on the way so I can move the seedlings inside for a while.

Texas weather is a rollercoaster but I'd rather ride the lazy river 😅

Hi! Cool to see you on CTG! I have a citrus question. Is it normal for meyer lemon tree to get flowers when it has nearly mature fruit? Fruits are pretty large but still green.

My fall plantings only just now started bearing. I think they’ll carry in a while longer while I wait for my starts of cold weather greens to get bigger. I’m still having trouble getting spinach to sprout. Don’t know why. Seed is fresh. Everything else came up with 100% germination.
I’ve got several icebox watermelons on the vine. Hope they get to mature. The plants have been growing since June but just a couple of melons formed until the temps finally dropped earlier this month.

We have crap weather in Mid Michigan. Any ideal what could survive here? I really enjoy your videos.

I'm not exactly sure, but I would experiment with onions, garlic, and spinach. With a low tunnel structure covered with heavy-duty frost cloth, other options may be possible. Thanks for watching!

Such great info! Carrots have not materialized yet for us. We are definitely going to start earlier in the season next year.

Could you please post a link to that planting guide? I've been searching for it online but not having any luck.

Here's a link to the one that I use travis-tx.tamu.edu/files/2020/06/Vegetable-Planting-Calendar-Travis-2015.pdf You might search for one in your county, but this can give you some ideas. I would imagine that you'd plant a little later than what this recommends.
