  • Did we get a sweet deal on this truck or did we get burned? It made the hour drive home with no issues other then the problems that existed before purchasing. Some repair and maintenance is due soon and we will handle that in a future video. But overall, what do you guys think?

Arcade the Husky; Have you had any issues with your coolant leaking into your transmission fluid, any issues with your 4x4 and any leaking in your differential or axles. These seem to be the main issues. Im considering a 2006 titan 4x4 priced at 9400 with 155k miles. What do you think?

Not for the average person. Typically a vehicle that cheap will require some level of moderate ongoing repair to keep running. If you are not doing the work yourself you can end up being in a position where your car won't pass emissions/inspection and the repairs will cost about as much as the vehicle to repair. Up in the northeastern US a car that is $1,000 is a rust bucket piece of garbage. You really should spend at least $3,000 to get something passable.

I've owned one for years, and I absolutely love my truck. Those rails in the bed are factory, there called utilitrack and the cleats are expensive. I've got an 05 with keyless. The trans temp and tow mirrors means it has a tow package. I'd also be willing to bet that the exhaust leak is on the manifold between the last two cylinders before the cat's as most Titan manifolds will crack there. I've done plenty of work to mine, mainly to fix my manifold. I went with JBA headers and Cajun Bpipes and I couldn't be happier with the HP gain! I'd be more than happy to help you figure out anything as these trucks deserve more love!!

I think you got a screaming deal on this truck. Best of luck with it. I hope you can find the parts you need.

  • @christophersimpson6815

I know with the Toyota vehicles with VCS same thing as VDC if the check engine light comes on it turns off the trac and VSC. Once the engine light problem is fixed and cleared the other lights go away or can be cleared. It might actually be a speed sensor but you might just scan and see what it says

Those tracks are apart of the Utility Package with the utilitrac system. The rails have cleats that can be screwed in so your can tie things down easier.

I test drove an 06 before getting my Silverado. Definitely has more grunt than the 5.3 and it seemed to shift way smoother than the 4l60e...

That's Utilitrack rails in the bed, that's a factory option on the Nissan trucks. Very nice tie down system, although the cleats that go in the tracks are on the expensive side.

For that price, you stole it!!!!! that check engine light gotta be incurable probably came from somewhere that require emissions and they got fed up with chasing down the light that or serious hidden damage

Except for the tow mirrors and adjustable pedals I have the exact same truck in 4 wheel drive. Actually just gave it to my son with 240,000 miles and it still runs great , endurance 5.6 is bulletproof. Seat cushions and stock covers are cheap and available, body panels and bumpers plus that trim cover are cheap too. Willing to bet the check engine light is your charcoal filter for emissions , that can be a little pricey. One caveat, Nissan used the Dana 60 rear end which is fine but they didn’t install a snorkel on the vent which clogs and the pressure blows out the axle seals. I replaced the rear end at 100,000 miles because I didn’t catch it in time so please check that vent. A good indicator of the plug/leak is a slight whine so listen for it. All-in-all a great deal on a damn good truck! Looking forward to updates!

Only problem with mine was cracked exhaust manifold at 130k. Replaced with JBA long tubes and Cajun B Pypes. Nice driving truck if your not using it for heavy work. You will love the cabin and driving it.
