    Thanks man.
I ordered a battery thinking that was the issue.
    Turned out it was not.
I followed your video very carefully, .. I cleaned a few spots on the back of the motherboard with just Isopropyl Alcohol and a soft bristle brush.
A few spots that looked a little corroded.
Without a doubt the fan kicked on to my surprise, and the light on the charging cable turned back on.
This video saved me a lot man thank you.

Thanks for the video.... I messed up two big things: I put battery back in and didn't screw it down... then when I re-removed the bottom panel the battery stuck to it (the little plastic tab in the center of the bottom cover) and this pulled the battery connector off the logic board. I persevered w the water repair... also screwed up the speaker connection (didn't pull it "UP")... I found corrosion on the board once i got it out... cleaned it w denatured alcohol (It was only wet for 24 hours and I had it drying without case within 12 hours). Fan is on so power is getting to it but won't turn on... I am going to leave it for 24 hours and maybe clean again. I am also going to pull SSD and try in another MacBook Air (older one) -- this one is 2017 and not even paid for.... One thing to suggest: coach on the connectors a bit.... pull this one UP (I wish I'd read the comments that said watch out for speaker connector). Battery connector was just bad luck as I've not had that happen w MacBook Pro I kept running for years after a cup of tea was spilled on it. THANKS AGAIN. I can't do the testing/solder cleaning but still I gave it a go. I might try to have the board repaired by a shop... I guess we will see.

I'm looking at my sons Macbook Air - identical to the one in your video.
It seems there are two problems evident:
    1) the SSD is not being recognosed at all - it's a 512GB Samsung blade
    2) the battery is not recognised as being present
I have restored the OS (Yosemite) to an external USB hard disk and the machine boots.
Apple Diagnostics tells me there is a problem with the battery and a storage device. Great!
Apple Service Diagnostics (ASD 3S156) says pretty much the same. It does not indicate mothernoard problems and as I say, it boots.
I don't mind spending money to fix it, but don't want to spend it on the wrong stuff. Naturally I don;t have spares to play around with.
    It suffered light liquid damage.
Anyway, your video gives me some things to try.

Just to clarify, I would separate the parts carefully, look for corrosion and then clean it out with pure alcohol and a toothbrush and then let dry it for 48 hours before turning it back on? If it doesnt turn on after the cleaning do i need a new logic board? Also what is that blow thing you used in 16:13?
Sorry for all the questions im pretty unfamilar with computers and dont want to mess this up. If all goes wrong and it still doesnt turn on would i be able to send it to you guys to fix it? Apple is charging me 700 dollars and i dont have that kind of money. How much would it cost for the fix?

hi, sorry for a late response. yes alcohol at the beginning is good. you don't need to wait for 48 hours before turning it on though. a few minutes is enough. the tool you mentioned is the hot air station. if cleaning does not work, a board most likely can be repaired. a complete replacement is the last option

I found some corrosion above the right 1RO 50416 (the on you measure at 7:56) and cleaned it up, but it is a little bit rusty. Then I checked the bios chip's pins just like you did and they all worked fine.
I plug the power cable back in like you do at 10:15 and after 2 seconds the fan makes a spin and stops again. Any thoughts?

Misses spilt a bit of champagne on hers, tried all the resets and PRAM but nothing worked just the fan. Took it apart and cleaned the logic board with rubbing alcohol using a toothbrush. Once all back together came on for ten mins then died again, I was gutted. However next day came on no problem and so far has been working fine. Massive thanks to you for this video as I would never have tried that.

My MacBook Air A1466 2014 is having the same problem but there's hasn't been any liquid damage. In 2016, two years after purchase, the logic board was replaced by the Apple Store. Now, two years later, its dead (green goes to amber on the power cord). Took it back to the Apple Store. The tech said the logic board needed to be replaced again. Her supervisor said the power board. Not sure which, but it's doing the same as the one in this video.

Usually these boards are pretty stable. Only fail with some external damage(liquid or shock)
Maybe it’s a fault refurbished board from Apple
