I needed to hear this right now. There's a struggle in the world with Christians, and I'm trying not to be a part of that, not remembering that we all matter to God. Jesus died for all of us and the blessing of salvation is there for all because He died for all sins. We need to remember this because no matter how far gone someone seems there is always hope for them just like there was for you. Just like there is for your family. I don't know who I'm speaking to but I hope this touches someone's heart. We need to rise up in prayer for our enemies, God loves us all!

Taylor Swift IS a Christian. When you write songs, you often put yourself in someone else’s shoes or create a story in your mind and turn it into lyrics. Just because you hear something in a song that sounds evil to you, doesn’t mean it actually is. Each person can interpret lyrics differently. A song can make one person cry while another could hear the same song and it could make that other person happy. You have to be more open minded. She isn’t a Christian artist, but she is a Christian herself. I saw Taylor around 2006 before she was well known, at one of the chili cook offs here in south FL. She’s a genuine, sweet human.
I agree with you on the fact that many of her lyrics are misinterpreted or just mean different things to those impacted by them, but I can’t say that Taylor is still a Christian. Her newest album especially uses a LOT of religious imagery, and most of it, in many people’s eyes, can be interpreted as disrespectful and anti-Christian. Like in “I Can Fix Him,” she says “They shake their heads sayin’, ‘God help her, when I tell them he’s my man, but your good Lord doesn’t lift a finger. I can fix him, no, really, I can. And only I can.” There are many more examples but I’m sure you get the point. This given she isn’t a bad person, but I think that she’s fallen out of her relationship with God because of how shes been treated by Christians who are supposed to love her as their neighbor. Once we make that choice, my friend, the path really becomes narrow. It is a fight against the flesh everyday. But we are empowered by The Holy Spirit. It is a promise. A true Christian receives the Gift of Holy Spirit. And when the Spirit lives in us, our lives and behavior start to change we cannot live the worldly way anymore, we are not driven by worldly desires anymore, we are not running after these worldly things anymore (what is that? Money, fame, self glory, status etc), our priority and focus shifts to God and all we want is to give Him Glory and to point people to Jesus. And our Spirit becomes sensitive to what is not of God, and there are things that become unappealing to us, there are things that we stop doing because it is not giving glory to God or It is against Jesus's principles. We are also asked to test people by God's principles and see the fruits of their lives. Ultimately God is the judge. Ultimately God is the one that saves soûls. But we need to be careful about the things we feed our souls with and the things we defend

Couldn’t have said it better myself. I have been trying to say this to people, because I have always appreciated Taylor’s songwriting and her talent, but looking deep into her recent lyrics and music videos has made me realize just how far gone she is. Because if we look at some of her earlier songs she had some Christian influence in her writing, but now her references to Christian aspects are just bitter and negative, which I believe goes in part with what Allie said, some Christian’s have gone to attack her instead of praying for her soul, so no wonder she looks at religious people and assumes they are all hypocrites, like how she mentions in her songs. Couldn’t have said it better myself. I have been trying to say this to people, because I have always appreciated Taylor’s songwriting and her talent, but looking deep into her recent lyrics and music videos has made me realize just how far gone she is. Because if we look at some of her earlier songs she had some Christian influence in her writing, but now her references to Christian aspects are just bitter and negative, which I believe goes in part with what Allie said, some Christian’s have gone to attack her instead of praying for her soul, so no wonder she looks at religious people and assumes they are all hypocrites, like how she mentions in her songs. I think people are never too far gone for God to save them, so I will pray for her because can you guys imagine what it would be like if she accepted Jesus, all of her fans who adore her would see that, she could reach so many people.
