Useful Information Abhishek. Keep posted the scenarios like this
Thanks Abhishek...it was really helpful
Thanks Abhishek , It helps .:)
THX for your information. This is what I was looking for!! One small Question. Could you let me know why we need to use FIXED LOD for 'Latest date'? If I use MAX(DATE), it also works.
Hi Abhishek, nice video!!! If you choose another date in your parameter, will you see the amount of the new date or you will see always the amount of the last update?
Regards!!!
Please how do you use this dynamic parameter with a "Range" and set it to default to a specific Quarter? Giving you a Range Date instead of Relative Date
Hi Abhishek, thanks for the tip.I got one question, how to I set default value to current month if current month is not the lastest month in the data? Best.
Max(date)
Hi Abhishek,.. Good video.. Thank you so much.. I have question.. I want to filter data in backend before tableau bring it to view.. will that be possible with parameter?
Please guide me..
Yeah it should be doable using custom sql query and there you can pass the parameters.
@@AbhishekAgarrwal Thank you for your reply.. Can we do without custom SQL? The thing is user can add any new field from datasource at any time.
@@karthicks984 in my view it can't be done. You need to have all the columns present in the tableau to provide this flexibility.
@@AbhishekAgarrwal ok thank you... One quick question.. if I add filters in datasource page, will restrict data in backend database itself or will it bring all data & then restrict in tableau view?
@@karthicks984 in that case it will restrict the data and it won't come in tableau for use.
