There are a lot of mixed feelings but it's great that despite not being in Chicago anymore there is hope of seeing them casually in the series, and it's also the ending they deserve, I hope May the family soon grow with a child from both of them. ❤
Yeah, I really hope we seem again. I'm really going to miss them. I would love for them to extend their family with a child of their own.

Such a bittersweet moment! So glad that it's a happy ending for Brettsey, and great to see everyone letting their hair down together, but still, it feels like the end of an era. Also, while we didn't get to see Matt holding Julia, I love the idea of Griffin being the most doting big brother! But, on an unrelated note, I noticed something here. Herrmann and Kidd both came up under Casey. Casey was the one who first suggested that Cruz take the lieutenant's test. And now Mouch? That's pretty much everyone who ever served under him on 81(who's still at 51). Ritter had a brief stint on 81 in S8, so maybe he's next? I mean, Casey and Severide both made lieutenant pretty young! I realized when Gallo left that not even one of Casey's candidates is still in the CFD now, so maybe that'll be Casey's legacy. Casey the Kingmaker, lol! I just hope they aren't going to use it as a way to get rid of more characters.
It really was a bittersweet moment. I'm really going to miss them both but it was the perfect ending for them. I'm just so happy that they get their happy ending. Yeah, I really wanted a scene with Julia and Casey but I really liked the scene with Griffin and Julia. The episode seems to be pretty perfect for me. I liked the callback/parallels that they had. There were a few things missing but everything was pretty perfect. Yeah, I have noticed that. I would love to see Mouch become Lieutenant but I don't want to see him leave the show but I can't help but think that he might end up leaving at some point. I hate that all the characters are leaving!
@fandomships It does feel at times like the show is preparing for s12 to possibly be the last. With so many characters being set up to possibly leave or stay. So, if s12 is the last they're all set, but if it's not they can just let those possible character exits fall to the wayside.
@@sunnysmile1008 Yeah. It potentially could be. With how short this season is going to be though, it might not be. I think it'll get a season 13 and that could potentially be the last season. It feels as though it's coming to an end but then with it being a Dick Wolf show I also don't see it ending anytime soon. It's weird.
@fandomships Yeah, I agree it feels a bit weird. Kinda like a lot of goodbyes are being set up, but also, at times kinda like it could also just be a transition into a true new era of the show. If it does go on, it could use a shake up, because sadly, the show has gotten kinda stuck with quite a few of the long-running characters on what storylines they give them.
Like it's almost always the same characters with life-threatening, oh-they-gonna-die-just-kidding-not-this-time injuries or the romantic storylines or being held at gun point etc...
I do hope, at the very least, that whenever it does end, the network will let the show know with enough advance notice, like it has become a bit more common for long-running shows, where networks announce with the renewal of the last season that it is gonna be its last. Just so that the writers can give the show the farewell it deserves.
@@sunnysmile1008 Yeah. I really don't want to see the characters leave. I definitely think Mouch is on his way out and potentially Severide at some point as well. But it really depends on how long the show goes on for if the characters end up leaving or not. I completely agree with you about announcing in advance about it being the last season and giving them time to write a final season. I really want Brettsey back for the final season/final episode but I think that's going to depend on how long it goes on for.
CASEYS! That’s one little benefit of Brett leaving, she could take Casey's last name without it feeling weird on the show or causing confusion.

Yes!!! I'm so happy that she is taking his name and we now officially get to call them the Caseys!! As much as I don't want them to leave, it really was the perfect ending. As you said, them driving off into the night was perfection! 💕
As someone who had gotten quite bored of the show ever since Matt left in season 10, I thought this was the perfect place for me to stop watching. I could leave the show happy seeing my favorite couple driving off together.
@@RickeGnool Yeah, completely understandable. I find it so difficult to watch without them. They were my favorite characters in the whole franchise and once Casey left, I really really struggled with it but at least I still had Brett, now with them both gone, it just doesn't feel the same anymore. I have watched the rest of the season and it seemed pretty good, it was a lot easier to watch than I thought it would be without them because I thought it was going to be unbearable but I just really wished they would come back.
Im crying of happiness :') Best moment in a long time, Silvie we will miss you so much!!! After holding Julia its official: Stellaride must have a baby right now!! just look at them!! Griffin was cool with his new sister and the last moment of Severide and Casey saying he'll come back soon :) im sure he will come back no doubt!! But for now we have to say it:

I loved when Griffin went rushing over to Julia and the tape moment where Brettsey just point and he kisses her. The goodbyes were so sad. You could tell that it wasn't just them saying goodbye to Brett, they were saying goodbye to Kara. I'm just happy that they get their happy ending and they're now one big happy family! Also the way the all celebrate and applaud them as they leave. And the way Casey dips her down and kisses her! I also love the fact that Carver was fully against the whole "51 is a family" thing last season and now he's fully embracing it.

@@LCNighthawk Yeah. I've always loved the family aspect of the show. Although, I dislike that once some of them leave the show, you never hear anything about them again. Mills hasn't really been mentioned since season 3, Jimmy hasn't mentioned again, Chilli hasn't been mentioned, Foster hasn't either since season 9. Vargas has been mentioned like once I think. So I hate that aspect. I get that everyone moves on and they don't always keep in touch but there's been quite a few members who were apart of the family, left and hasn't been mentioned since.

@@firefighterfan2010 Yeah, Andrea confirmed it in a interview and then I think it gets confirmed in the latest epiosde about Violet becoming PIC. I have no idea who is actually coming in as the new paramedic though.

Yeah, I just found out about this last night when I saw an article about it. I haven't watched the later episodes yet so I was so happy and shocked to see this! I'm so happy that she's took Casey's name!! I mean I had a feeling with this scene with Griffen called them "Casey's" but now this has officially confirmed, I'm so pleased! 😍😍

@@samylalleman7334 So it's a scene from season 12 episode 13. Sylvie sends Kidd a photo of Julia. At the top of Kidd's phone, you can see that Brett's name has now changed to Sylvie Casey.
I'll try and link the scene below but if that doesn't work, I have the scene in my Brettsey playlists which you can go to. There's a section for the Brettsey playlist on my channel homepage and you can select the playlist from there. It'll be right at the bottom of both the Brett and Casey (All Scenes) Playlist and the Brett and Casey - Chicago Fire (Season 12) playlist.
It's a very short scene, like 6 seconds long because I only put the part where Kidd gets the text from Sylvie and not the full Stellaride scene. So if you're wanting to watch the whole scene, it's from 12x13.
