Dua Lipa needs more interviews like this because the way she eloquently went through the background of her role in the songwriting for Barbie was so intelligently conveyed
dua and the other artist, Jon? and cinthia are interesting people. I would love to see them speak more about their process. Oliva was kinds nervous but seems like a smart girl. billie was a little bit annoying lol and i felt like she was speaking a lot without really saying anything important. Idk lol i just don't vibe with her.

i love how Billie got the whole table laughing out loud during her turn, she's a real comedian. and it scares me to think she was worried she had peaked, I'm so grateful that she found her flow again. i think this is the happiest and most confident we've seen her. as for Jon Batiste, this is actually my first time hearing him talk and wow, I loveee his accent, not only is he very eloquent but his accent has a pleasant melodious quality to it that makes you really hang on to his words. his remarks about creativity being a tool for survival really touched my heart, because that is also something i strongly believe in. this was a wonderful video with wonderful artists speaking. I can't wait for the full roundtable to be released, all these gems from just a clip is amazing

yeah reaching that level of fame so young def changes someone, i'd say the direction she's taking her career and handling herself is admiring too, you can tell she's actively pushing herself to improve and get better rather than just ride the success/attention

@@dylankai21 I’d say because as she aged she matured and grew and you can hear that in her sound and writing style - so honestly it’s very important. Also, in relation to my comment. Billie wrote an entire song dedicated to how Hollywood has these bright eyed young girls and rips them of their joy, it was a warning to all the young artists and she has said she mainly thought about Olivia and now that very thing came true. Hope that helps

Something about Jon Batiste's words describing his support and love for his wife and their creative style of coping with her cancer brought me to tears. So happy she is okay.

Billie is such a gifted storyteller. Look at how she had the whole table hanging on her words. She does not have to try to reveal herself in songs - she only needs to tell her stories. Bob Dylan, Taylor Swift, that's what they do.

Now try doing these things since you were 15 and find me a pop artist especially from this century who does everything by herself EVERYTHING even music videos Etc since she was 15.. or even you do this and have her success: 2nd best selling female artist globally since 2019 after Taylor swift with only 2 albums , almost 20 Guinness world records, Biggest world tour 2022, she also won the best pop tour award of the year .. 1 Oscar, 1 Golden globe, 1 critics choice award, an ASCAP VANGUARD award for the innovative IMPACT in pop music “shaping the future of music , creating new subgenres” , now she is already winning the most with this Barbie song.. and with most nominations both Grammys, Golden globe Etc .. etc etc … do the same .. then talk 😊

Its like sports you don’t always root for the best team you root for your hometown or for YOUR favourite player. What would be the point if everyone rooted for the same team. I love how Billie talks about What was I made for. For me it's literally the song of the year. I think I never contacted to a song so much and then the movie came out and it fits so well together. Also Barbie is THE movie of the year. It's just so beautiful and you see how much work and real feelings and emotions are involved in this masterpiece.

He is such a great interviewer. He lets them finish their thoughts and asks great questions which seems to be rare for interviewers today.

Olivia was looking at Cynthia Erivo's nails thinking - that can inspire another Vampire song - LOL!
Having lost nail once (in a little accident in high school, about 5 decades ago, that could have ended me) when I see girls with those faux nails, I cringe (males of the species are less pain tolerant than females). Billie once lost a nail, too, by the way to this "craze." These long nails were once introduced to indicate the woman owning them (natural nails) that they didn't do an iyota of physical work. All these girls are hard-working individuals, and making music is physical work. Make no mistake, so why? Yikes.
They are all brillant but I admire Jon so much. His approach to the challenges, he and especially his wife encountered and still have to deal with is mindblowing
The conversation about music and storytelling marry so well. Music is what touches something something we cannot put into words sometimes and I’m so happy to see these artists express, the motivation and inspirational aspects of working on film. It’s very different than just releasing your own music and I can’t wait to see the whole interview and where the conversation leads.

It's nice to see these new crop of pop musicians sit as a unit and talk about making songs for film. Must be refreshing for them considering how competitive and stressful the world of pop music usually is. As Billie and Olivia said its gives them new motivations when they feel uninspired or overwhelmed.

this needed to be longer!!!!!! literally some of there strongest most genuine artists at this table that I deeply adore even before much of their major successes over these recent years. theyre all insane amazing in their own things. ive gotten to meet billie and Cynthia they are such lights and give warm hugs. I love them so much.
and im not sure about dua but all the other artists have touched based in theatre and acting theatrical inspirations and films. I think that's vital to become a serious in touch story teller.
